Roof Wrap... Carbon Fiber?
I'm thinking about wrapping the roof/halo of the Z and I'm looking for opinions from those of you that have this done or have seen it in person. I'm leaning towards the gloss carbon fiber look. Thoughts/opinions? Pics of a black roof on silver Z would be great too. Thanks guys.

I personally think that the carbon fiber wrap looks cheap and makes the car look cheap. I've seen it on really expensive cars and never liked it. I'd go with a black of some sort

Gloss black... It will blend nicely with tinted windows. I did it to my 350z and loved the look.
Please don't do carbon, it will look like a ZR1 wannabe

i was going to do the same route and have a shop wrap my roof/halo in 3m carbon film then deemed against it. The day i was going back to the shop for the 2nd time to talk about it i saw a purple scion sitting outside with the top roof wrapped in 3m cf. Made me say f**k no lol. Id say save up for the halltech carbon fiber roof/halo, its like 2k. If your gonna paint id do satin black like ferrari does. IMO looks better and blends in with the outer plastic A pillars to look like one piece.

I went with a gloss black wrap when I did my Z. I will say that gloss will show every imperfection and my installer was not the best. I was seeing if I liked it before painting it but traded it before I got to it. I would agree with most on the carbon wrap, it does not look right up close. Here are a few pics of mine.

I'm a fan... I just might have to get some black wheels too. I was trying to stay away from that this time as my last car was blacked out, but man it looks good on silver

Personal opinion here, I would do satin. I am going to wrap the roof/halo on my DSOM Z. I have already blacked out the stock wheels. I like the black roof/halo on silver as well. Should say I like a black roof on any color Z. LOL

3m 1080 has the smaller pattern and a semi gloss finish but is a little thinner. 3m dinoc has a flatter finish but is thicker and more durable I did both on mine and liked the look of 1080 more.

Gloss looks cleaner on the body panels....wheels are the only place I like the Matte look

I did my JSB in black semi gloss as well as the halo...looked good.
(crazy snow storm and I had to get the gf's car in the garage to get brownie points - I am a tetris master)
As far as the carbon fiber wrap looking cheap...that is a matter of opinion. I did my hood on the 911 and also my wing and splitter on the Noble (mind you the wing is real carbon fiber, and it was painted to match the car, but I wanted the raw look of cf, so I wrapped in back in cf...LOL). So when people ask me...is that real carbon fiber, I can say..."why yes it is"...
