How did the plasti-dip turn out on the chrome speedlines? I was thinking about trying it.

here is a close up of the wheel. i have prob used 50 cans of this stuff. i love it. it goes on super smooth and you realy have to try to mess it up. my only advice is to do a bunch of thin coats. if its not thick enough it is harder to remove.

That looks really good... how did you cover the flag on the center cap? I'm gonna give this a go

Did you just shove a trash bag behind the wheel to cover the caliper/rotor?

i took the wheels off because i dident want to chance overspray getting on the car (im a tad **** about that stuff) and as far as the flags go you just spray over them and when it dries you can just peel it off. it is amazing how this stuff just cuts itself on any line. and if you doo mess up some how just peel it off and start over. i was able to do all 4 wheels with 3 cans and i put it on nice and thick.

Sweet, thanks for the info. Taking the wheels off is probably a better idea I guess... I'm kinda the same way.

it just makes it alot easier plus it gives you a chance to eyeball your pad life and give those sexy calipers a good detailing

I did my chrome speedlines about a month ago just to make sure I wanted the black look before a purchased new wheels. I decided I loved it, picked up a set of spyders and had them custom painted a satin black. JSB FTW!

Looks good what did you do to prep the wheels before you sprayed them?

Wow thanks for the inspiration! I've been wanting to experiment with wheel colors for a while. Was going to spray paint and then PC after i made a decision. I didn't know about plasti-dip! I'm gonna do one wheel set red to match calipers and then my other set gonna go crazy and do 4 different colors. Your car looks sick BTW (both of these)

What did you use to cover the tires so not to paint them? It looks great!

no need to cover the tire..... it peels right off as soon as it dries
