That sucks too. Why not sit on it for a minute and do it when situation improves....that way you could take your time and do it the way you want...

I'd hate to see you have to dump the track car to get the c6 back on the road. But I'd probably be debating the same thing if I were you.

Found it in the summit catalog. Blueprint motor 580hp 560ft/lbs torque
Drop in replacement 427 $8999.00 MLL-PSLS4271CT. This is what I would replace my motor with if it went.

My only issue there is that the Z06 dry sump setup will not work on this engine. I really want to keep that intact.

It will work and is a direct replacement for the Z06 dry sump oiling and 605 hp. Anyone needing info can call Blue Print direct 800-483-4263. It's just an option, I'm sure there are many others.

Something else to check on...I suspect it's an iron block, so around 125lbs more on the front end of your car.

Cheers, Paul.

That surely sounds very promising. However, do we know if this option is free of the issues of the OEMs?

Well that motor uses ls3 style heads, and intake. So that is a downgrade for performance. Also to get a 427 out of a ls3 block they maybe running a different stroke/bore setup. You definitely won't be revving that to 7k RPMs.
