It was pretty cool actually so the low humidity, and 69 degree temp I am sure helped a bit.
Still close. I laugh when I see a baseline done in the middle of summer and then a post tune dyno done in the dead of winter with monster gains.

Either way good stuff and im sure you are happy to have the head work done.

Tank,

OUCH, my 06 Z had the EXACT problem Frank, and it was fixed under warranty by Kevin P, 1.5 years ago under warranty.

He told me the reverse gear had to be replaced which was done and problem was then fixed (under warranty). He told me it was a very expensive job as the whole tranny had to come out and get taken apart, etc. The good news is that you can drive the car like this for awhile with only this intermittent inconvenience, and don't have to rush to get it fixed.

Good luck with you new build buddy.

That's right, I remember that now jimmy.. well I am going to eek by as long as I can, yea anything like this is huge labor since tranny has to come out I'll just keep fingers crossed I can at least make it through til Winter. No more funds available at this point for the car.

Frank , sometimes I put my car into 1st gear before I put it reverse and it seems to go in reverse much easier.

Oh Boy, here we go, Keith, you would have to bring this up again, huh?

I have been bustin Tank's ***** on the no cam issue for months now, and here you go having to bring it up again, just to keep the issue alive and well!

Sorry Tank, just couldn't help myself, b/c you know next season the Torquer 110 is going in!

Keith, is your new heads and cam BEAST done yet? Did you hit that magical 600rwhp?

Frank, you did this strictly for peace of mind or did your engine exhibit any signs of pending issues?

Peace of mind . Even if my guides ended up being in spec I still would have done it. I have no warranty and wanted to enjoy the car more. And someday I may even want to track it

Difficult to read but it looks like it's around 13:1 almost across the band is that about right?

Reason I ask is my car had been set to the same A/F ratio during dyno tuning.

Previous cars I owned (F.I.) had A/F ratio's around 11.5 -12.0. Going above these ratio's is considered un safe.

My concern for this car is at what level of A/F is it considered un safe?

Sound like 13:1 is ok..

07 Z06 26k miles stock cam.
Mods
Halltech MF103
WCCH Stage II heads( ported)
Melrose 1 7/8 LT's with catted xpipe
160 Tstat

Tune was done by FLP Motorsports. Dan who tuned my C5 back in the day is somewhat of a conservative tuner. He told me bone stock Z's dyno on his dynojet average anywhere from 420RWHP-450RWHP

My baseline pull (with the above mods) was 459RWHP 437RWTQ
After tune with mods 474RWHP 452TQ (SAE corrected)

.

I will also say before the tune my car was actually running lean so I had a lean code CEL, and of course the CEL was on for highflow cats
Overall I am happy with the car, it didn't get to 500RWHP, but the car drives perfect, and the tune did definitely wake the car up. I could not push it too hard on the way home as we are getting soaked with rain..hit a few dry spots and blipped the throttle and you can tell.

69F , 28%humidity
Excellent !!!!!

Congrats on finally getting her done
