MT street comp tires?
selling off my 19/20 inch combo on my z n going 18s in search of traction. going to run MT3788r rear street radials. as for the fronts....can any street tire work on the front with street radials or shud i go the MT street comp tires? anyone had problems with instability running street radials and normal street tires on the front. i know the street radials are designed for this but ive heard horror stories of uncontrollable top end speed wobbles when mixing street tires and street radials. also normal street tires on the front as a fair bit cheaper than the MT sports comp

The only time I personally had ANY issue was with street tires up front and bias ply tires out back at the drag strip, BUT ONLY when I went below 18psi on the bias ply tires. Even there I had to do a LITTLE bit of steering inputs at the top end.
having said that, having made a few hundred passes on street tires up front and drag radials out back, there is NO instability whatsoever that I have seen.

Bias plys and stock tires will get sketchy around 100mph, with anything less that 15.5psi.... On my car. At 15.5 you have to drive the car as there's some wobble, but not bad, anything lower, then hold on. I've been racing for 15yrs and the one time I dropped the pressure mixing stock fronts with ET street rears became the closest moment with me and the wall. Got out of shape, straightened up and got back into it right at the 1/8th and I was lucky to control it after getting back into it. It was a gamblers race, so I got back in it when normally I would have just called it off and made another pass. Ever since, I keep em on 16psi (cold) and if I get loose, I get out of it and stay out of it... Switching to Hoosier DR's so I won't have to worth about it as much anymore.
I don't think you'll have a problem with radials, just keep AH on (which is something I had off when I got extremely loose.... mentioned above)
