Does anyone have a tutorial on how to pull the drivetrain from this car or is my best bet to purchase a service manual?? Thanks in advance guys. I have an extensive mechanical background and all the proper tools at my disposal I just want to be prepped going in and learn some tricks of the trade before I tackle the job.
Any updates of what you found?

Any pics?

Thanks

Hello all update on progress.. Pulled drive train tore heads off quickly Both front cylinders grenaded both front cylinder exhaust valves were gone.. Destroyed block, pan, heads etc. I haven't had a chance to pull the timing cover to see if that had any role in this mess I will get to that today hopefully.. Needless to say a long block is in my future...

That is how the last one looked. We replaced the inake, cooler etc due to too much shrapnel.

I'm going to be going w a TSP 441 long block w 285 cc heads w titanium valves, forged internals, callies comp star H beam rods, high flow oil pump.. That should do the trick.. If it blows apart then I will contemplate suicide...

Can't that block be resleeved? Steve Demirjin at R.E.D. could tell you.

Then just buy some ported LS7 heads off of here and put it back together

There is a giant hole in the side of the block or I would have considered it. At this point I feel the only way to really be sure this thing will be perfect is to replace everything and start fresh. Does anyone have any info or insight on how to flush the dry sump system so I can be sure all of the metal has completely been removed?

Sorry to hear about your loss OP and best of luck getting back on the road with a new and improved engine. These LS7 engines certainly seem to be failing at an alarming pace.
