Default C7 Z06 not Z07

Now that it is confirmed that the Big Boy C7 will be called "Z06" rather than "Z07", i wonder how the heck the rumor ever got started with the name change to Z07.

Always was stupid to me that GM would lose a hallowed name like Z06!!

I am glad that it is now confirmed.

The real questions is what engine!!??

I'm putting in my bet...100% guessing at this point:

smaller < 427cu inch forced induction motor to net around 600-630 flywheel.

No doubt it will break the 600 hp barrier. I, too, am guessing forced induction.

I REALLY hope it's not forced induction. I won't sleep well for at least a month.

I hope it isn't forced induction either. Too much added weight and part of what made the Z06 SO cool was the lighter weight.
