They have admitted to a problem. Read the GM announcement in the sticky section..

What happened is that your argument just got shot down.
It doesn't matter how many times any of us have "heard of it".
A clutch is a wear item.
Valve guides wear over time as well.

Valve guides are an internal engine component subject to wear over the life of the vehicle. If there is excessive wear (beyond the indicated service limit) after the investigation is completed, GM will cover the inspection and repair expense for vehicles covered under the Powertrain Limited warranty.

I've noticed that sarcasm is the usual road that you attempt to take whenever I shoot down your arguments.
Happy holidays.

I recall a post by Mark200X indicating that GM has not officially admitted to anything.
...
And by the way, GM has not admitted that there is a problem. There is an internet post by a Social Media rep admitting a problem -- a Social Media rep that apparently no longer posts here and may not even still work for GM. Furthermore, a review of the official GM TSB on the matter shows that they admit nothing. Of course this does not mean there is no problem, but I think the claims of GM officially admitting anything are based on a somewhat flimsy foundation.

I had greater logical discussions with my 10 year old son than I have had with you...You run from hither and yarn with Bombast and Balderdash.

There is no need for you to resort to the personal attacks when your points have been countered and your positions not adapted by all whom you decide to share them with.

Just for the record, I'm already on the list, but my mileage is shown as "unk".
Odometer reading at time of heads R&R was 39,100.

'11 /Z06 4000 mi. Build date 07/'10 Just bought car [CPO]. As part of mechanical survey while prepping for track-day use, found out-of-spec guides. Haven't yet made warranty claim. Have to first put the car back together.

'07/Z06 with 41k miles. According to my mechanic I have 3 "really bad", 7 just "bad" and the rest are "reasonable". No mods on the car, just a tune at 38k miles when I got it.
