To clarify, I was bad mouthing the OEM tires. I have not tried these nor have any interest in them. They may suffice for daily driver duty but for people like me that enjoy redline several times an hour it would not be an option.

I'm just surprised how cheap they are. Personally I roast NT05s with only 520 RWTQ so I just ordered R888s. Can't wait

This is just an educated guess, but I'm basing that off the fact that this tire is meant to last a long time, while performing in the wet and dry, and the added silica would help achieve those goals. But with lowered resistance comes a drawback, less grip.

Check this out for some examples of how rolling resistance would affect grip: http://ask.metafilter.com/128129/How...ing-resistance

Basically you don't want a hard tire for grip, you'd want a soft one. That's why I was saying the redliner's like myself [probably] won't be happy with the grip [or lack therof] these tires would provide.

Again, I have no first hand experience but I could be wrong. I hope they are good for the money!

That's absolutely insane how cheap they are. Good find. I won't need tires for a while but it's good to know I have an option under 1000 for all 4. Let alone closer to the 500 mark.

Default still breaking them in

I only have 50 miles on them so fat and the first day was a down pour and 55°. They are amazing in the rain. 80 and no hydroplaning. I staged a couple times to help break in the rears. They are starting to hook up good. Far better than stock. We will see when I get more miles.

Took mine for a little test today. From a 40 mph roll punch in 2nd gear they broke loose a little but not much. Hit 3rd and laid a little scratch and took off. So far I say a good deal

I got them on the car. Managed to get them for $560 shipped, 2 fronts from amazon for $199 shipped and the rears from google. Tires are on the hard size but still not bad. I can see how these will last 30K if you dont decide to light them up at every light.

Default It's a great deal for the money

They are not meant to be a cup tire our a NT05. But if you want an in between for a fraction of the cost this IS the tire to get. I'll take it over a Avon.

Ive only put them to the test twice. I stomped on them hard shortly after install and it hooked in 1st pretty well (2002 Z06 H/C bolt-ons, 405rwhp on mustang dyno). But the second time i drove past a construction site and i wanted to know if the dust would affect them, and it did, but wasn't too bad.

on a side note, roush just revealed their new mustang line up and they are still packing these tires. must count for something lol.

If any of you guys plan to track or autox on these let me know how it goes. if not I may be the first to speak on the subject shortly.

Anymore reports on these? I would love to see some pics installed on the car. Do they look small or about the same as the goodyears?

I have took the car out a couple of times, so far pretty good. But you do need to heat them up before you really get on it.

How does the sizing of the rear tire compare to the factory tires. Are they as wide as the factory goodyears. Any pics? Thanks.

These seem to run slightly smaller than the stock run flats. I'll take a picture tomorrow.

Havent really driven much on these tires. Got them installed, drove for a 2 days, ended up pulling one of my heads for a bad exhaust valve.

i thought i would follow up on these tires with a video.

This was an autox event at Three Palms Raceway. The tires are 275/35 18 front and 325/30/19 rear cooper rs3-S. The fastest time of the day was 45 sec, and that was a supercharged miata running 305 hoosier A6 all around. I think i did pretty good considering that my brakes need to get done(pretty sure its running factory brake fluid as well) and my rake is pretty aggressive, causing some under steer under heavy braking.

My thoughts on the tire is that they are pretty good and let go gradually. They do not like heat however, and I was able to achieve my best times after spraying them down with some water. overall cant complain on their performance.
