[Z06] Recommendation Needed

I replaced the OEM battery on my 09 a few months ago with an AutoZone Gold battery, frequently recommended by forum members.
I use a Sears DieHard #71219 smart charger (inexpensive). It comes with clips, eyehole and lighter attachments. I use the lighter attachment. Our Toyota Camry Hybrid sat on this charger for 9 months and it worked fine. I use it on my Z if the car is going to sit for more than a week or 10 days.
To get the old battery out, do yourself a favor and get a $4 battery strap. It will save a lot of skinned knuckles and swearing. The AZ battery comes with a strap and the OEM battery vent plugs right into it.

I purchased a 2009 Z with 3,500 miles on it last spring and it came with an Odyssey (PC1200MJT-A) battery installed by the previous owner. I puchased an Odyssey Ultimizer charger (OMAX-25A-1B) to charge the battery over the winter. Check out the specs and construction of the Odyssey batteries at the following link.

I got one of those Deltran battery chargers, since they are posted all over. I have no complaints so far, this will be year #2 with it.
That being said, I have 2 cheapy autozone units that I used on my previous car and current projects and they work just fine as well.

I still have the OE battery in my '09 (15K miles) its not a DD so, I keep it on the tender about one week a month. Picked up a batter tender Jr from battery mart for like $25 and use a cigarette lighter adapter. Works great.

If you want a true upgrade, AGM batteries like this are the way to go. I'd go for the PC1200 without the metal cover to save a bit of weight. It's not really needed unless it will be used in harsh conditions.
