I like seeing the valve covers without the red plastic engine cover. How did the coils attach without the black metal piece?

Those are Holley LS polished valve covers. The coils attach directly to the valve cover and the stock brackets are no longer used.

I also eliminated the big white coil connector. Why have that and then a couple inches away have the connector that's right at the coils. Less connectors less problems.

much cleaner! how did you remove the connections? plug everything off and tune out the SES light?

I teed intothe vacuum connection on the back of the intake manifold that is for the mufflers. Moved the evap solenoid that's on the front of the passenger side head to the firewall. Removed the hose from the intake inlet to the oil tank which supplies filtered air and put a small filter right at the tank inlet. So that eliminated a lot of lines that ran over the engine but everything still works. I don't need the heater so those hoses were removed and used that aluminum expansion tank (ala C1 era) on the passenger side where the radiator connection is.
