Here’s an interesting battle to watch – a cammed C6 Z06 versus a lightly modified and CSP tuned C7.

8 mph difference in trap speed (128>120), C6Z is making the power. Good for the C7 driver to close the gap, got to give credit where it's due!

Wait what.. how did the C7 driver close the gap? He put it in D and pressed the pedal on the right. C6Z closed the gap.

8sp auto > 6 sp manual boys.

LMAO. That is my C6Z. First time ever at the track with it.

Got it down to an 11.2 @ 129.5 after those runs, still trying to get used to the car. Just got the car back together after replacing the exhaust valves so hopefully I can get her in the 10s with some more practice and cooler weather.

The view as they disappear down the track reconfirms my decision, the C-6 looks better, yeah I know but that's the way I see it, to each his own. Both look hot, I just prefer the smooth lines instead of sharp angles

Best of the night was a 1.9, haven't been able to figure out the sweet spot with the clutch that's in it and it was on Nitto Invos at full pressure.

The 2nd run where the C7 beat me I was spinning halfway through first.

Looks like some good times. Pretty good for your first time out way to bang those gears.

Thanks guys, such a random find to stumble upon this thread last night only see a video of my car. I picked it up a few weeks back so there's still plenty of room for improvment.

It's the fastest car I've owned, I used to have the driver mod back when I had my 04 GTO but I must have misplaced that during the years of driving lowered Volkswagens.

They do great on the street, I just never bothered with lowering the pressure in the video since I showed up, did a few back to back runs before letting the car cool down.

Appreciate the comments on the car, guys.

That's my c7. Headers, tune, drag radials. It's a manual, not automatic as someone assumed in a previous comment.

The first run I spun pretty bad. Second was clean.

Best run was an 11.3 on that setup at the end of the night. And I think his best run of the night was an 11.2.
