having just returned from a trip via the ring, its a great place but one with obvious dangers. The biggest being a mix of race prep cars, tourists and track day heroes. There are no requirments for race suits or helmets as it is a public toll road on TF days. I had no helmets or suits and then spanked the **** out of the car down the autobhans at speeds that if anything were to go wrong no suit would have mattered.

I checked my nuts before the trip, correct torque, this vette is known to the ring its just a shame about a mechanical failure. Seen much worse on my visits - one poor chap in a TVR obliterated his car whilst there, it went home in many boxes.

And its only 25 euros a lap

And they make you pay on the spot for any damage to the track/railings that you make, so add that on top of the damage to his Z.
