Corvette C6 Z06 With Light Mods Aims for 9-Second Pass
We've covered some extreme Z06s here at Corvette Forum, which are setting the drag strip ablaze with sensational quarter mile times, but what about a regular Z06 with only a few light mods?

I dont know if I would call a cammed C6 Z one with "light mods"???
Either way, 10.3 on a car with cam and sticky tires isnt great. There are several bolt on cars much faster than that.

That's my boys car..he just went 10.07 @138 this past weekend. First time taking the car out in a little over a year so still shaking off the Cobb webs but hes definitely looking for that 9 sec slip while this weather is cool.

Hey guys. This is actually my car.
The car isn't lightly modded. I was one of the unlucky people to drop a valve 3 years ago so the car has a built 427 from ERL. Rick & Ryan at Synergy Motorsports built the car. Kind of an interesting build because we went with Cathedral TrickFlow heads. Car makes 572hp/548tq.
The video was taken a couple weeks ago and these were the first 3 passes I had made in over a year. I made another 3 passes in the car this past saturday and was able to hit a 10.07 @ 138.07 with some great weather and a 1.45 60ft. Going to make a couple tweaks to the car and head back to try for a 9 Sec pass.
Here is the details of the build: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...t-list-98.html

nice runs. Modest dyno numbers. I'm guessing their dyno is a tad conservative? I really miss my 427 after seeing that video; it was dark blue. Great looking car.

Cam only + headers running 10.3's is really good. We need to see the DA for this track when it ran the 10.3.
Bolt-on cars with gears holds a record of around 9.8 or something like that with the best DA a track can offer. The fastest cam only M6 recorded is a 9.6 run which had negative DA but also had a strong headwind...

Hey Kevin,
Here has been what has been submitted to the Fast List.
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1591198676
The owner, not the OP, identifies himself above in post #6 and states that they are not light mods. His build makes some good power.

Yes that is interesting. I think that head is good for bringing the power down on the power curve, which is evident when you consider the HP/TQ ratio above. Hardly ANY LS7 castings make that much TQ on a NA setup (at least on pump fuel).

572 hp? On a real mustang dyno maybe? If so then over 600rwhp on a dynojet or pack..Must be cause theres alot of money spent for 572 dynojet hp. A trap of 138 mph says its 600rwhp all day on a dynojet
