Default CPR's Ultimate Alpha Package on the way!

So our Alpha heads/cam setup is extremely popular. So much so that we do typically 2-3 a month because of the power it makes, street manners it offers, and the sound is intoxicating. Not to mention this setup continues to prove itself at the drag strip, half mile events (multiple shifts3ctor wins), and on the street.

Here is the standard alpha package, some people choose to add additional levels to it, but this is the "core" of it.

CPR alpha camshaft
WCCH ported heads
ARH 2'' headers w/ or w/o cats
Airaid cold air intake
MSD intake manifold w/ nw 102 TB
ARP hardware, gm gaskets, amsoil fluids, installation, tune

on 91 octane in az this setup consistently makes 580-590 rwhp depending on the car and 500-510 rwtq.

Some customers choose to add our add on packages to this alpha setup which include items such as ati balancer, katech tensioner, flex fuel, injectors, fuel pump and crack well over 600 rwhp and 520+ rwtq.

And then.... you get customers that go for it all! Everything little thing to make their alpha setup the absolute best possible.

In the pic we have the following items and a few that are not in the shot but this car is getting (just didn't have them the day we started install)

The above items including flex fuel setup plus.
-CPR axle loops
-Mcleod RXT clutch
-DSS torque tube couplers
-DSS level 5 axles
-weld wheels 17x 11 & 17x5 w/ M&H rubber
-RPM transmission level vii tr6060 w/ zr1 5/6 gearing
-RPM level 4 diff with 3.73 gears
-Nitrous outlet msd plate system with custom powder coated standalone
-CPR ported msd intake manifold shaved and painted
-Akrapovic exhaust w/ carbon tips
-drag radials for his oem wheels

This car will be completed by the end of next week and we are looking forward to seeing this thing tear it up at the next omega motorsports half mile event here in the fall. We are a title sponsor and typically have 35+ customer cars out there so if you are local or near by we urge you to come out!!

Also here are some videos of this cam to give you an idea of sound and dyno videos.

This one had heads on it already and are a factor for the lower numbers than normal. We do not recommend frankenstein heads here at cpr.

You can also find many more videos on our facebook page and instagram.

That Omega event conflicts with the Mojave Magnum so I'll have to wait until the December Omega meet to run him.

CPR did my build so I can break 200 MPH at the Mojave event.

Anything vehicle over 200 going to 300 we use parachutes with a mercury switch and no antifreeze either, stuff ignites.

It will save your hind end on a bad run.

Be cautious bud. Always prepared for the worst.

Mojave doesn't allow parachutes and I'm in A2 class limited to 205. DA is usually ~3000'. Stock, strong tail wind I did 196.5. They now record trap speed at 1/2, 1 and 1 1/2 mile. I expect around 185 in the mile, no wind. 12,000' runway and we use about 11,400' of it before turning onto the taxiway. They have had a good safety record, but you are right, you can't loose focus. HCI build with no SC, turbos or Nitrous.

We lost a guy last week over 200 and his chute did not deploy.

Amazing that car still made over 600, which means it would be crazy with some decent heads. The FRH heads knock like crazy and won't take any timing. Complete junk IMO.

Here is the NA dyno video from last week on this car. Goes back on the dyno mon for the nitrous pulls!

Bryan's alpha package Z on the dyno. This car has every little option we can do to the alpha setup and on 91 made 596/509 and on e85 made 611/522 in 35% humidity last night and high air Temps! Next week it goes back on the dyno for the nitrous pulls after we install it.

Also here is a purge video for you guys
