I have a very thin ring of rust around the hub of my rotors on my 2007 Z06. Rotors are from R1 Concepts and the brakes are Hawk ceramic 1 piece pads.

It's from washing the car (never driven in rain), as the rust on the other parts of the rotors comes off from driving/braking.

Any ideas on why a little ring would be left? What is the best product to remove it?

Relax...no biggie at all. If it bothers you you can scrub it off with a wire brush or steel wool. It's mild steel...it's gonna rust. I steel wool it off too when I remove and reinstall wheels just to make me feel better.
