On edit, 2771#. What a beauty.

A real beauty.

On edit again, $95K. A wee bit out of my budget.

Rich the one pictured in post #42 is if I'm not mistaken the standard Beehive which Jim offered in both Composite and Carbon. This was a much less complicated part to produce (hence lower cost) compared to the Carbon Super Beehive which is on Jim's car and I have on mine.

Jim, I'll be sorry to see the car go! To me there were 3 standout C6Z car builds. Jason's, your's and mine. Jason's has moved on and now yours is for sale. Cars like this almost have to be see in person to be able to truely appreciated the amount of work and attention to detail that went into their construction! Knowing what was involved in the build of this car all that I can say is that whoever ultimately ends up being fortunate enough to purchase this car is going to be one very happy person!

We own the intellectual property rights to the mold, since I personally designed it.

Our former carbon fiber shop made the mold at their expense, so they own the physical mold.

We have offered to purchase it several times with no response. We could take ours off and make a mold from it, but we are selling our car.

One caveat is the fuel mileage. 20 mpg using e85 (exclusively due to the CR and tune)

Glass smooth in 6th gear at 75 mph the whole trip from Michigan to Wisconsin. 480 miles.

Paintwork alone was over $10,000 to match every carbon fiber quarter panel, rear deck, etc.

All of the duct work pieces are carbon fiber, the driveshaft as well.

Halltech won the weight contest against Katech by 5 lbs. (100 lbs ago) but Katech won the power (before we lost our minds on our build.

If we had left the clutch and wheels alone, our weight/power ratio would have been: 3.895lbs/horsepower. Now it is 3.95lbs/hp. Check out the best Supercars in the world (production):

http://jalopnik.com/the-ten-producti...eig-1641624397 Our ULZ700 beats the mighty Pagani Huayra (4.14lbs/hp) and the incredible Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach Package (4.08) fitting nicely between it and the McLaren P1 (3.54). Understanding that both of those rides lose to the Halltech ULZ700 when their EverReadys go flat. I think that is one lap at Nurburgring.

Then there is this Honda Alpha: Designed by Jim Hall in 1989:

425lbs 400HP= 1.125lbs.hp

Very impressive.

I have similar build: LS7 block, ARE dry sump, Katech Street Attack pistons, stock rods, Brodix heads, K501 cam, MSD intake, 12:1 compression running 93 pump gas.

My motor made 710hp on engine dyno and around 595 whp SAE on a mustang dyno.

K501 cam is awesome.

I wish I had a chance to put mine on an engine dyno to see the real numbers. I'm at 12:1 as well, on E54, and Mamo ported MSD.

Used, here on the forum.

Had to trim it a little to run the lines for my E85 filter. Which is ok cuz I don't plan on ever taking it off. And I put a little foam tape on it because my world challenge Hood just lightly bumps it.

Who's engine dyno? There should not be that much DLL. 12 to 13% is average on the LS7 driveline.

Default For Sale?

We have decided to keep the ULZ700 for our shop. There are so many one off parts and now that the car is fun to drive, we are ending efforts to sell it.

Local show in Long Island NY with a mustang dyno. But keep in mind that 710hp engine dyno was with race gas. 595 whp on a mustang dyno SAE, with pump 93 gas. This shows about 16% DLL. I would think that 12-13 is very low DLL. Shouldn't be around 15%? Also dynojet read higher than mustang dynos in my experience.

12% DLL is normal for these cars. The race gas (and presumably tune for that) may be the difference here.

It varies as you know, from dyno to dyno. The norm is 15%, but the LS7 had a certified engine dyno of 505 HP back in 2005, and most dynoed between 448 RWHP to 460 RWHP on the dynojets.

2000 lbs with driver, 1100hp to the wheel, not quite 1.125 but its touched 401 mph, 394 FIM officially.
