Default sway bar end links

Can someone please tell me how to tell if my end links are worn out? I keep hearing noise coming from rear end. Not sure if its end links, worn out lowering bolt rubber, rear end noise, or what.

Sounds like end links from here in South Carolina.

Seriously, unless someone is there to hear it, how are we going to know? Jack it up, grab the end links and yank. Do they make noise? Do you see rusty or dirty streaks? Wear marks? Now inspect the right height bolts. Are the rubbers shot/gone?

Point is, you can trouble shoot this a hell of a lot better then anyone on the forums half way across the country.

When do you hear noises? Slow speeds over speed bumps? Turning onto a driveway? Is it a popping noise?

Rear axle nuts also loosen and can make a clicking noise. They take either a 33 or 34mm socket. I went to an AutoZone that had both, they let me try and I bought the one that fit best. Original torque was ~130#ft but now GM says 160#ft. on Most wheels these can be checked/tightened by just removing the wheel center cap.

Seems to be while turning right at slow speeds. Have checked axle nuts and they are tight.

Thanks Dave...checked axle nuts....socket cost me $17. They are as tight as I can get them...lol. I just don't really know how to check the end links to see if they are bad.

I have replaced my front sway bar end links twice and rears once since new, currently with 72k miles.

Also, while parked idling, try turning wheels full left to right. If you hear creaking noise it could be you rack and pinion bolts to frame loose.

Buy a quality set of end links like LG Quiet End Links. I installed a set of four on my little base C6 build.
