What brand oil/oil filter for aggressive driving?
Interested to know what grade/brand oil and oil filter people use
read several threads where people use Mobil 1 and/or AMSOIL for racing/aggressive driving but those threads are form 2011...
Which oil brand/viscosity is ideal? also which oil filter?

I use Mobil1 M1-113 and K&N HP-1017 oil filters for ALL my driving in my Z06, whether I'm cruising along at 1500 RPM while on vacation or running around Talladega at WOT, shifting at 6,800 RPM at over 160 MPH.
I also run Mobil1 0-40 European spec oil ALL the time.

Melting Slicks
Mobil 1 0-40 European spec during summer while doing track days. Mobil 1 5-30 during the winter.

Wix or AC/Delco filters and any full synthetic that meets GM specs, preferably oil with a good looking picture, gives warm fuzzy feeling and meets GM specs.

How do you use your car? For normal street use and oil temps below 265*F, M1 5W-30 is what GM recommends and is fine. If doing HPDE's where your oil temps could go over 265* (I saw 285* with stock LS7) M1 0W-40 is better for the high temps and fine for daily driving.
If your engine is modified, use what the engine builder recommends for your type of service.
The OEM GM filter is fine.

I'm getting ready to do something similar as Dan_the_C5_Man. Tomorrow, I'll be switching to Moblie 1 racing series half 0w-30 and half 0w-50 along with M1 filter. At the same time adding a -10AN MM catch can to minimize tha amount of oil ingestion to the intake so the increased zinc won't effect the high flow cats. My car typically sees 7300 rpms every time I drive it so I feel the racing series might be a good, way to go for me.

I noticed this car takes a long time for the oil to heat up, so I do have max rpm held back while the oil is still coming up to temp. I'll have to look and see what temperature the oil currently has to be to allow 7300. Just curious, how did you come up with 160? I was looking at the oil data trying to decide the right temperature to allow the engine to ring out but couldn't really find something that gave me a definite temperature to use.
