Please help me diagnose this rear vibration after motor build.
Question for you guys
I just had a new motor built for my Z (New heads, rods, pistons, erl shortblock, the whole shebang) about 75 horsepower over my last setup.... After getting everything dialed in and broken in I went for some test runs ( getting on the throttle ) and while doing a full 3rd gear pull this loud horrible vibration starts coming from the shifter, to the point where the shifter is difficult to hold onto (like one of those carnival games with the vibrating stick) it only happens when applying power, any sort of power input to move forward it makes noise and it feels like the brakes are being applied!
Edit
Ended up pulling the torque tube apart and everything in there is fine (bushings intact etc) While there I also looked at the clutch (McLeod) and again. Looks fine and is adjusted properly.
If you let the car sit for a while then drive its fine, however once you start applying real power it does it again.
Any other thoughts as to what it might be? How do I isolate whether it's the t56 or rear end? Is this a common symptom of rear end or t56 failing

Does your motor vibrate just revving out of gear?

Burning Brakes
I know you said you pulled torque tube and everything looked good, but I had a similar feeling after a new engine build. After I had the torque tube out the second time I found the pilot bearing was trashed. Just a thought.

installed a TR6060
the car now grinds from the 4 to 6 shift.
ive replaced the entire motor in this car, torque tube, clutch and now transmission, I'm ready to throw myself off a bridge.
