On a side note has anyone heard of anyone running an AHP stage 3 cam. From all of my searching I haven't found one person with this cam. Just curious if anyone else has heard of anyone else running or is running it. I trust Kohle's advice just haven't been able to find anyone else with this cam.

Yeah he said his stage 3.... Now I'm really curious. I kind of feel like an idiot for not knowing exactly. I had originally wanted to go with the BTR stage 2. He had originally suggested the CA116 and that was when I told him I was looking for a little more. This is when he suggested their stage 3. I should really clarify with him. I only spent 6 months researching cams and now I'm not sure what I actually have now hahah.

Don't need to drop oil pan, and don't need gasket maker either.
You may have to loosen the pan slightly, but even then it doesnt' have to be removed. Out of the ~10 ls7 cam swaps I've done only had to do that on a few. All other slid off with no issues without touching the pan.

I did confirm the cam is indeed AHP stage 3 it's somewhere between the btr stage 2 and stage 3. I would post the actual specs but I'm not sure Kohle would like to divulge the specs so I will keep them to myself. He did happen to mention that it should pull pretty hard up top and that I cannot wait for. Just waiting on the heads now

Just got the heads back from AHP and they are beautiful!!! Can't say enough good things about Kohle's work and service. He's a true craftsman and easy to work with.

Great Pics Carl!!!
Yes sir its our stage 3 cam. It is somewhere in between the BTR stage 2 and BTR stage 3 cam (as mentioned above). Its a grind we have been using for the last 5 years. It Makes really good power, is easy to tune and pulls like a freight train up top. Its one of my favorite cams.
From your description of what you were looking for it will fit your application perfectly. You will be very pleased with our/AHP stage 3 cam.
Be sure to post up what you think of the cam once you get it fired up.
Thank you for the nice words and it was great working with you as well.
If you ever need anything or have any questions let us know.
Thank you for your business!

Thanks!! I went with AHP stage 3 cam. Not sure of the specs Kohle told me over the phone and didn't write them down when he told me and the cam card was forgotten in the box when he sent it... it has long tubes, high flow cats, and a halltech intake. Plans are to do a msd and nw eventually. The cost of the heads, shipping, and all the other miscellaneous things that go with the install ate up most of my budget for this year. But that's the plan eventually. Maybe Kohle can divulge the actual specs of that cam.

Finally got it tuned after finding out the ecm was locked from previous tuner here's the results... I'll be honest numbers seem very generous but it's tuned and we will see what it's traps this summer. I'm sure it's going to start a $#!+ storm about the numbers but it is what it is and that's the only thing I have to go by

yea those numbers seem high, but could be what they have their dyno software set to...
its just a tuning tool at the end of the day.
Were the heads milled or P&P? I might have missed it somewhere else in the thread.

Your mods are almost identical to mine prior to my intake manifold/nw102/60lb injectors, but you have a little bit more cam(I have BTR2).
I made 550/510. I would guess with slightly more cam you should be at 560-565whp and probably 515-520wtq.
IMO their dyno is 40-50 high on each side... Just my opinion after seeing TONS of dyno plots on very similarly modded cars. But could be they have it setup different on the software side.
But again its a tuning tool and trap speeds are a better indication of power at the end of the day and you seem to realize that.
