my car has done this the past 4 or so years. it can sit all winter in new England and still fire up on the coldest winter day. im not too concerned about it

Check the routing of the B+ wire on your alternator; I was getting the SCS warning sporadically when I had the B+ wire routed along the factory path near the #1 coil/wire.

Spacing it an inch or two away (around the top of the alternator) fixed the issue - this is with TR6IX plugs.
