Walked out of restaurant and FOB did nothing. My first thought was "dead FOB battery" so i replaced that....still nothing.

Maybe dead car battery? I am aware of the 'hatch' key hole over the license plate on basic c6s, do i have same thing on the Z ?

Any other suggestions for folks been in this situation besides get inside, jump battery and .... then what? I was NOT getting any kind of dash light error for battery/electrical.

FYI...if it were the fob battery, and you knew how to open trunk, pop driver door, etc. You're still unable to start the car unless you plug the fob into the slot located in the glove box. Open the glove box and on the left side, there's the slot you use for the fob. In case that ever strands you...
