Interesting results with Dyno 2000 software...
So I decided to plug in the LS7 numbers that we already know and just guessed at the things we don't to see what Dyno 2000 says.
Interestingly, it came up with almost exactly the reported HP and Torque numbers.
Things we know:
4.125" bore
4" stroke
2.2" intake valve
1.6" exhaust valve
11:1 compression
655 CFM induction
SFI
Int/Exh lift is 0.591" @ 0.050
Roller hydraulic lifters
Things I had to guess:
Generic large-tube header, open exhaust
Generic Dual-purpose street/track cam
Generic Wedge/Fully Ported large valves
-109 lobe center
-64 valve overlap
-282 intake and exhaust durations
-IVO (BTDC) 32 degrees
-IVC (ABDC) 70 degrees
-EVO (BBDC) 70 degrees
-EVC (ATDC) 32 degrees
-ICA (ATDC) 109 degrees
-ECA (BTDC) 109 degrees
-Nominal timing
Now if someone could fill in my guesses with facts, that would be nice.
But, yeah, with those guesses the virtual dyno came out very close to reported numbers.
