Default New 2017 Vert, but...

My last vets were C6s - I was told by a dealer GM sold 40k vets last year- unbelievable and now this year already there are big time rebates early in the model year- 11% off- as a consequence resale for 16 and older cars is being crushed. Car companies only care about profits but the dealer was saying people coming in with three year old cars for trade and are shocked at their value- less than 50% of msrp.
So it makes me hesitate because I usually want what no one else has.

Does it make a difference if you order a car without Nav- never use it and $1800 savings

If you're going to drive the car, and enjoy it resale is no problem. But if you're buying as a collectible to sell for a profit down the road, you'll need to wait for about 50 years. Myself, I bought mine to drive and enjoy. I will say if you don't buy, you're gonna miss the best Corvette built to date. Good luck on your decision.

I agree with what Rebel Yell said.
I peronnaly like the nav. For one it comes with the PDR. Second we bought the car to take on road trips so the nav has come in handy several times already. but its personal taste on what equipment you want.

GM built 40,000 Corvettes last year, but sold way less than that number, thus the 20% discounts to try and get rid of all the ones they didn't sell last year.

The excess number of unsold 2016's and their "fire sale" pricing is driving down the price on the 2017's.

This car is the best vette that they have done so far. Plus spend the money and have some fun in it for the day. No person has any promise that tomorrow will come.

Not just vetts, any high end will loose a lot in first 3yr. I just got a 2013 650 BMW, with 22K mi, sticker at $110K, for $52K. And I imagine in 3yr when I dump it, it will be worth $20K (hopefully)

I don't think it will make a difference on resale with the smart phones being able to talk you to your destination. I have the navigation on mine, we went on a 5000 mile trip to Nova Scotia and I liked having a visual on the screen.
