NEW Z06's being offered for $71,900 (any better deals?)
I noticed some of the high volume Chevy dealerships are advertising NEW Corvette Z06's for $71,900...
Has anybody seen any cheaper deals than this or heard of anybody buying a base model for less?
I have cash in hand and looking for a very low mileage Z06, but most people are asking more than what a new one costs!
-I see the 2015-2016 models have known over heating issues and the 2017+ models have improvements to the superchargers and cooling systems. These older ones should be posted at a substantial discount compared to the updated 2017-2018 used models.
-The ZR1 should be released very soon which will also effect the ZO6 resale value.

wow!
with a trade-in that would put it in the high 60's! guys trying to charge too much for 2014-2016 pretty much on notice if dealers start selling new z06's for that price. certainly would undercut the GS.

$200,000 zr1?
imo it would be a total flop-from what i've read about it it already sounds like a little too little and top late already:
a souped up C7 body style with the C8 in the wings and entirely new platform for a mid-engine....
who was the genius who convinced they needed a the GS in their
line-up at this point in time

I have 2 of the 2017 model Z-06's available for $71,500. One silver, one Torch Red. Both have automatic transmissions, black wheels and 1-LZ. Your choice. There is no ZR-1 coming.

$200k? Where did you read that? The C8 mid-engine for sure, but the zr1 I suspect will be 150k at the highest. The last zr1 was only about 20k or so higher than the Z06. As pointed out in this thread, those are going for 71k. New ones on the chevy site are about 90+. I don't see the Zr1 being more than double.

OP just browsing at the for sale section I don't think most people are asking more than the $71K for used 1LTs. That is the base car. Its a lot of car but the trim levels add up quickly. If you see someone offering a used 3LT for more than the 71 that's makes a difference.
Also no expert but the 17s are included in the GM lawsuit so I would think the issues around overheating are not resolved. Also overheating may affect a car that is tracked hard. If you don't track a car why would you think that would lower the price of a 15 or 16?
