Wheel Update
Two nights ago my right rear tire indicated low pressure. It's getting cold around here so I figured why not throw the winter wheels/tires on. Today I drove the wheel down to the dealership to have them fix the leak. Unfortunately they said the tire is fine but the wheel is cracked. Well my bad luck is your luck. Now instead of the winter wheels/tires being extra everything is now included with the car. This means the car comes with four Pirelli Scottozero winter tires of good condition [see above photos], four Pilot SuperSport tires of ok condition, and seven wheels. Where else are you going to find a Z07 with 7 wheels?
Best,
Gene

Price lowered to $59,999 firm where it will sit. This way you can tell your significant other "It was a great deal the car was over a hundred grand when new and I picked it up for under sixty!"

Can I ask why you are selling the car?

Beautiful car Gene. Love the garage photos with the car, the car looks so clean. Black is one of the best colors on the Z06 in my opinion.
GLWS!

A variety of reasons:
1. My wife and I currently live in a giant expensive castle, in one of the most expensive places to live, and drive big somewhat expensive cars. We're looking to do a downgrade across the board in part because it's not who we are and it's not how we want our kid to grow up. If anyone wants to buy our castle I'll throw in the Z for free.
2. My wife and I are considering moving to some mountain ski town in Colorado where the Z will be suffocating for air, with nowhere to run hard, and few good driving months.
3. All around this is the best car I've ever had but it's not exclusively the most fun car I've ever had. There are tons of twisty roads by me and while the DSC upgrade made a dramatic difference, it's still not as fun as the JCW Mini I had before it. I know that sounds insane but I've driven hundreds of sports cars and while I do lust after the insane thrust of a fast car, I prefer to drive a slower car at ten tenths than a fast car at seven tenths. I will miss everything that is perfect about this Z06 but doing 70 around a sharp turn is way more entertaining, to me, in a slow car than a fast car. I'll likely replace it with a 2006 JCW Mini for a few grand. I understand this is certainly a grass is greener type of thing and will be seriously longing for the Z when it's gone.
4. It would be nice to have something fun to drive that my entire family can fit in. I love throwing the car seat in the Z and going for a cruise with my boy but it would be even better if mom could come and we could do it more often.
5. I don't fully use it. I was hoping to get to the track a lot with the car but once our kid was born, shortly after getting the Z, it never ended up happening. I don't drive it terribly fast. When I had my C6Z I would hit 150 every single day on the way to work. With this car I think the fastest I ever went was maybe 130, one time. People always say when you have a kid things change but now I truly understand that statement. Those that know me remember my videos from a decade ago...I was crazy behind the wheel...no longer.
That's about it. I'm definitely not selling the car because of an issue or complaint with the car. Overall we're selling it because we both have changed a lot since we purchased it.
Best,
Gene

She gone!
My baby is sold and will be picked up in the next couple of days and head on down to Texas. As it sits today it has 46,015 miles on it and it went for $58k and we split transport cost. I'm glad that a very nice guy is getting the car and he's excited like a kid on Christmas so I know it will be a good home for ol VIN 27. I will start a thank you/goodbye/post mortem/three year review thread when I get the time. For those interested it's looking like I'll be taking over the dirt cheap lease [$3xx/month] on a nice manual 2017 JCW Mini Cooper Hardtop....I'll be calling Mr. Burger of course.
All the very best and love to you all!

Congratulations on your sale - I live in Colorado, and my Z07 (as do all F.I. cars) perform a lot better than normally aspirated cars. It is a big equalizer. Good luck with your adventures in Colorado, it is a beautiful place to raise a family.

Where do you live? My in-laws have a house in Aspen that we visit a couple times a year. It certainly has it's positives and negatives. We've been looking at Crested Butte as it seems to be the right combo of decent mountain, good schools, and old school ski town. My wife grew up skiing [she kicks my ***] and we've both taken pretty seriously to trail running and ultra-marathons.

FINALLY! I realist! I laugh when I see others posting their C7's for close to what a new one cost and then they wonder why they don't sell. Gene is obviously an educated car enthusiast, made a decision to sell his Z06 and got the most money he could. Used C7's listed above $40k and Z06's above $70k.....these days are gone! Congrats Gene!

Thanks Rob. One thing that people seem to miss the memo on is the fact that any modern Corvette is not rare [no matter the options], not special, and is just another mass produced hugely depreciating asset whether you drive it or not.
I cleaned up his Z today and finished the care package in the back of it...Boostane and everything! I'm going to miss her.
