Your ad says contact you if seriously interested. I'm guessing that asking over sticker for an even slightly used ZR1 isn't too appealing to most out here. So you're not getting contacted but you're getting a lot of views.

But best of luck to you sir.

thanks, I guess that’s what I really wanted but I was surprised when I got it. I knew I’m overpriced but some people are willing to pay a premium to the get instant gratification. I was!

This one will give you a good idea what to expect in 4 days: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2019-Chevro...Z/223042584122

I can only image how hard it's going to be to sell a ZR1 convertible. I imagine most people who buy a ZR1 would be looking to race them at some point, which is difficult with the convertible. I love convertibles but I know my GS would have been sold long ago if it was a coupe.... and I'd still buy my next one in a convertible. We're a definitely minority.

It still isn't a new car and purchasers will look to dealers that are willing to sell for MSRP or less. There are always some and the longer production continues the more likely it will be to find them.

I don’t think you’re going to get the $160k asking price for the car, but good luck on the sale.

Buying a new car, paying sales tax and probably high monthly payments, hoping to sell it as a used car making a profit, ................. speculation at its greatest moments. You need to go back to the drawing board and rethink strategy. Reality and what you read are quite different.
Hope you enjoy the car for greater than five miles. I have a feeling it will be in the garage for viewing a long time.

I’d also say that after reading your sale post, you seem to be openly admitting you’re essentially asking someone to take it on the chin to help you out in getting out from under a mistake. There are a lot of charitable people out there, but most don’t bail out guys who buy 6 figure sports cars. GLWS

edit: also, pics help. No one is gonna spend much effort on a car for sale that they can’t see.

It's clear you have money and swap cars like people swap underwear, with impulsive buying and no sense of rational. Just be honest with your reason for selling. Nothing wrong with charging a small premium if the car is in high demand but what you're looking to get is straight up disrespectful to forum members.

WHY? I am a 73 year old who lacks judgement. I had a 16 z06, loved it and felt good with it. The ZR1 simply too much
Nothing was ever 'too fast' for me till now. Sad to say I have discovered that the Z06 is more car than I am capable of driving safely. No joke. Simply not the guy I used to be . . . I should have kept the 2014 Z51.

Guy owns car
Guy wants to sell car

It’s his car and he can ask whatever he wants for it. Don’t see the disrespect.

Now he did ask “what’s wrong” so that makes it fair game as opposed to thread interference.

Pure and simple he’s asking way too much for the car based on the asking price of other similar cars currently on the market.

I tend to agree. Not disrespectful. Perhaps disillusioned.

I've bought and sold a lot of vehicles and other stuff on the interwebz. OP, your current ad has no pictures. Let's be realistic. You want a premium for a less than desirable car (convertible at sticker+) and you don't even take the time to post pictures? Seriously? If you really want to get anywhere close to that kind of money, you should have professional quality photos, a walkaround video and a better reason than, "I overpaid so you should too," for charging more than new sticker.

My best advice: Post up a boatload of top-notch photos and get ready to drop your price down to whatever the one on eBay goes for.
