lots of dreamers and tire kickers in Corvette Land. Spring is around the corner. Corvettes sell in spring. All the potential buyers on the fence would do themselves well to buy before then. Be patient....it will sell.

$55k. Probably could have held out for a little more but a bird in hand...
Helps when the buyer makes it easy. Had a phone call, sent some pics and a video. 12 hours later, signed papers and he wired money. Flew in a few days later to pick it up.

Wow you did very well. With spring just around the corner, it sells much quicker. Congrat's. That was a beautiful vette. Now the real question, are you afraid you will miss it?

Oh 100%. There's no doubt once I stop traveling (GF is a traveling nurse and I work remote) I will be getting the exact same car (C8 renderings don't do anything for me). Having made the jump from a Mustang, I was skeptical not having test driven one but man what an awesome car.

The power and torque are in very different places. The Vette has much more low power from the jump where as the RS4 really picks up over 5k (RPMs) all the way till 8k. As far as handling. The Vette (nearly 12 years newer) is light years ahead at least in terms of the GS but the RS4 is just a joy to drive. It you combined a Corvette with an A4 you get the RS4 (imo). I think the biggest difference is you feel the power in the RWD beast vs the AWD sleeper you don't realize how fast you are going sometimes. The GS is much more planted but it's really an out of the box track car so it's tough to compare to my stock car. They really compliment each other well. I'll always have a spot for the RS4 in my garage and now the Vette will also get a spot (just a little further in the future). I don't like the styling of the C8 (at least the renderings) so a C7 is definitely what I'll be looking for down the road.
So in a long winded answer. The C7 would be my choice out in the mountains but for a sedan, the RS4 holds it's own very well. That comes from my preference to RWD over AWD and much more aggressive suspension and aerodynamics.
