2017 Stingray Base
In talks with someone selling a base model 2017 c7 stingray. Has 2000 miles and is being sold for just under 37k. Is this a good deal? Was a manufacture buyback vehicle due to engine problems. But the engine was replaced for a brand new one so I don’t see any reason to believe it’s no good. What should I look out for or should I have bought the car already lol. I’m a first time corvette buyer looking for a Daily Driver. Probably going to sell once the c8 comes out. Ready to have fun now though with good resale value.

I'm looking at C7's in that price range as well. I'm very interested as to who is selling yours and what type of warranty they are putting on it. Good luck and please keep us posted!
You may hear from some who would reject it outright. I disagree -- do your diligence and be bold if in fact you are reasonably certain they got it right and there is GM warranty to back that up. Unless the mileage is pretty high that is a fantastic price for a 2017.
And, if it is a stick, and you pass, please let me know the particulars.
Thanks...

Okay so I’ve got more info. Car definitely has 2k miles. It had engine problems and got marked as a Lemon. GM took the car back and just put a brand new engine in it. Problem gone. Title scared for life. But sale comes with all the paperwork showing it received new engine. There’s nothing else to it. It’s discounted due to the Lemon title. I’m pretty sure it has no options. Just a bare bones stock LT1 with 156 miles since installed. I’m reading up on lemon laws and all that now to see if I should even still consider. I think I am still interested.
Upon purchase there’s a 12 month/12000mile b2b factory warranty. Please help! haha I don’t want to screw myself impulse buying.

I mean if the car has warranty 12 months you dont have to worry much about it, I’m pretty sure u can extend the warranty too. However the only problem you might come across is selling the car afterwards to someone els.

Just flew in to the state. They are picking me up in the morning to check it out. If I dont take it I'll post the info. If I do take it I'll post my happy pics. It's a M7 Watkins glen color. Either way, I'll show more tomorrow.

Hope it works out for you. I'm curious whether a repaired "lemon" loses the remaining factory warranty and is simply "buyer beware." If this has the remainder of the GM warranty, and it is enforceable, drive it like you stole it -- because you did!!!

I indeed stole that car. It's beautiful! I'm super excited and all is well in the world. They gave me a 5 year/40k warranty for $1500 Planned on starting my cross country drive but I'm keeping it in my brothers garage till the weather passes. He is conveniently 1 hour from where I picked it up at. I'm officially a vette owner!!! Check out Van Horn Chevy in Plymouth. They have more c7 deals similar to mine.
