WTB: C7 in the mid 30k’s.

Cars are generally depreciating assets, but you would not know that by the prices some people ask. I have yet top see a C7 in the $30's range, which is strange because dealers are offerings steep discounts on brand new C7's, like ones that bring the price down to just over $40k, and that is for a BRAND NEW one. I bought a Z with a 427 ( C6 ) , will those drop in price more, probably, but at least the 427 is no longer being produced so it "may " fetch a premium at some point ? Who knows though...Good luck on your search

Check auto trader.
Be prepared for lots of miles around 35, typically however.
Corvettes typically hold their value A LOT better than a typical car. Kiplingers have had them as their TOP car for 5 year depreciation for umpteen years in a row.. so that's why.
New Vettes are the BEST (obviously) but in my state, our MN tab TAXes KILL!! Roughly $650 A YEAR for stickers! Makes a guy want to move to Montana! The older vettes get cheaper on tab tax (stickers). According to MN law it goes to the general fund, NOT earmarked for roads ONLY-PMOFF!
Another reason is typically folks on here take care of their cars. If these folks care enough to join a forum, then generally (except for trackers) the cars on here have been babied. Not taken through auto washes, only babied. I would only buy a Vette here or from a few SELECT dealers, cuz their customers actually give a SH--. It's not their 1041 car in their garage. LOL!

If you can wait until fall of this year there should be plenty. It seems after July or August sales drop especially in the Midwest. When the C8 comes out there should be even more cars available. Just because a dealership has a car for X amount of money doesn't mean they won't drop in price. A lot of those cars priced in the high 30's can probably be bought for $35,000 but expect higher miles on the car at that price. One of the top Corvette sellers has 1lt manual transmission coupes for $44,800 after discounts.
