Default Option

Viable alternative to a C7Z06 IMO. Great looking car.

Are their any concerns with, the lack of a inner cooler and running meth?
Thoughts: inner cooler helps keep IATs down and so does meth but without a inner cooler wouldn't the IATs swing allot more? I guess the question is does the inlet air temp swing raise any alarm for concern? Sorry if it's a dumb question just a thought.

It has an intercooler. Most likely the horizontal mount.

That is not the BOV, what you hear is the straight cut gears headunit! Unlike AA or ECS that is a true centri sounds blower!!! I actually hated the vacuum sound of my ECS, make me regretted not getting PD blower or procharger!

This looks and sounds awesome man! I was considering doing a Procharger for my 2017 Grand Sport. Was there any special modifications you needed to make just to get the Procharger installed? Just the Procharger and that's it? Please let me know and what kind of Procharger you used here. Thanks so much in advance!!

best move u can make
easy to install and no cutting or bending of anything and very easy back to stock cause it comes with all the modified pieces and u keep the stock ones
I use a D1 on this car with meth and headers so far been flawless same belt never an issue with it and sounds amazing
as we speak im doing a c7 stingray P1x kit for my buddys car

proper ventilation is the key get yourself a good breather kit from LMR or lashway before u install any supercharger kit

Thanks for the response!! Appreciate the advice! You didn't need to install a cam or anything for the Procharger right? Some guy was trying to convince me I needed one for the LT1.

no cam
cam is for more fuel
I use meth for that reason...

You don't "need" one but you might as well before you go about things.. If you want to per say (IN MY OPINION) do it right.

My car 17' GS A8 with an F1A and a GPtuning custom grind cam with LT4 High Side, Low Side upgrade and duel 15M Meth nozzles made 944 maxing out the F1A blower on a stock bottom end LT1. Ripped out the stock LT1 at 3400 Miles going with a built 377 from LME and a bigger head unit.

If you want to make more than 650 SAFELY you can do a cam with the appropriate sized Fuel lobe. It just makes it a bit safer, you get power out of it, and it allows you to run 700+ with a little bigger head unit etc and lightly rely on Meth injections.

Then again I wanted the C7GS record, and I don't like to "half ***" things.

to answer your question, no you don't "need" a cam. but research and figure out if it is worth the expense and find out yourself.

first off this is my thread
my car is not half *** if thats what u are referring to?
I know a well name shop who has done the 3 mod deal on many LT1s than u can imagine and never heard of 1 breaking

I dont know how much power i make but it did go 141 with just 3 mods and stock wheels
Drives just like it did when it was not modded till u hit the throttle then hang on

Agree over 650 rwhp then its piston/cam time to be safe but do we really need more and loose the driveability

MHO stick with the 3 mod deal that works keep it plain and simple, enjoy the car and not breaking it and working on it all the time been there done that crap

Paul On been there done that more than 1 time in the c5. Keep this car nice and simple with about the same mods. LT headers, mid pipe with cat back, A/A TI with a 3.6 pulley, ported T.B. & intake with the meth. Going to call it a day in the c7 on the mods..Cars drives like it did when stock. But I did put in a Dewiits radartor, D3 fan set up, LG trans pan & the LG trans cooler for the auto. Love this car even better than the c5.. Robert
