Default ECS to Whipple?

I have a ECS blower.. I'm never in the 3500 rpm powerband. I'm wondering if I should swap it out for a whipple, Magi ect... What do you guys think?

That seems like an awful lot of money to drop on some torque just to scoot around town. What else is done to the car? Usually on the ECS kits you can pulley it and run the same restrictor plate. This helps add the boost a little sooner in the power band. If you need a price on a Whipple or Magnuson hit us up. We'll get you the best price.

It just had axel back exhaust. What pulley would I need. It that the only thing I need to get me lower in the power band?

Bad move also to me, why do you want to put a top blower on you car. From what you are saying here you know the top blowers you get all your power coming in the lower RPM range. So with that said if your vette cant lay down rubber now something is wrong with it. SO IF YOU PUT MORE POWER TO THE WHEELS DOWN LOW WITH A TOP BLOWER. How do you think you will run any one below 3500 rpm and do nothing but blow the tires off the car even more.

Think about that to me if you are going to run someone you need it more in the upper RPM. Per say you are even with someone down low like from red light to red light until you get into 4,k rpm then this is the time to have power. Down low you will need power pulled to keep it from just blowing the tires off.

I know this.. But I never race. Just having the power all the time would be more fun for me. I don't track it and I also like the whine of a positve displacement. We just have different goals.

Then why does Chevy and Dodge use them on the Z06 and Hellcat?

The only thing I am saying here if all you are doing is spinning the tires you are not going to win. You can get a BOV for a front mount blower that will do what you want about all the time. Plus you get per say more heat build up in a top mount blower.

But it is your car if I wanted a Maggie I would buy it & try it out & see how you like it. Robert

Simple, compact, and easier on an assembly line.
No large giant external intercooler to integrate into design.
Doesn't require pulling a belt tight on all other accessories, thus wearing down them quicker.
I'm sure there is more.
You can also ask yourself why in racing you see guys running Centri's over Roots.
Places like ECS or A&A could of just as easy designed a better or newer Roots style if they thought it was better and even why guys pull off the factory blower and go Centri

You can start with calling ECS and ask them if they can suggest something to get you lower TQ or better performance in your RPM range. Most likely a Cam would be a suggestion or even a rear gear ratio change. You be amazed what changing the ratio can do.

Turn off traction control...

Add loud BOV if you want noise. Pulley down, as others have said talk to ECS and your tuner on capabilities. But i can guarantee if you turn off the nannies the car will have plenty of power to whip around.

One of the major benefits of the new transmission is the number of gears. Use this to you benefit and just down shift. There is no problem running higher RPM's and still maintaining you fuel economy when cruising. If you are still not satisfied your dollars would be better put to use in additional mods to you current set up or doing the rear end gears which will help you rev faster.

It sounds like you're just looking for the around town 1/4 throttle torque feel. Just but the maggy 2300 and you wont regret it. It doesn't sound like your looking to run 8's in the 1/4 or do 1/2 mile or mile runs. The maggy is a prefect fit for what you're looking for.

The 2300 is a great choice for what you are wanting. Great throttle response and will make plenty of power. It will drive just like stock until your ready for some fun.

That's what I want, but I'm not sure if the cost would be worth it.
ECS suggested I go with a movie 1500 with straight cut gears.

I don't know much about those blowers so can't really help you out there. Magnuson's I know like the back of my hand.

Sounds like your mind if already made up and you want to go with the PD blower. If you're dead set on wanting instant torque then it's a no brainer. Pulleying down the centri is an option that will get you closer, but it's still going to be more of a linear power curve. I had the novi1500 and then the 2200X on my 14 and they're awesome and fun and sound great and make great top end power, but the moment I bought my '19 ZR1 and mashed the throttle and the torque was instant it was a different kind of fun.
