Did any of you go with a 10 rib setup? Or how many of you are still running 8 rib?
Also, how many run dual BOVs?

I really don't see you having slip on the 8 rib now with the mods with these set up now. I know A/A set up will hold for you man. Robert

I kind of agree with you Robert. A BUNCH of big HP C7s are running the 8rib. Some 10, but it doesn't seem like it's too much of an issue.

I know for sure with the new stuff that Andy has now with the c7. I know it is a crap stronger than the c5 stuff I just don't see the belt slipping with this one on the car.
I know I talk with Andy for some time on this & he has never told me wrong plus he could have made more money from me on the 10 rib & didn't do it. Robert

10 rib is really good if you're going to be pushing a f1x over 25 lbs. in that case, ecs sells a nice 10 rib bracket for the f1x. that all being said, sam at amp ran 30+ lbs on his procharger bracket and an 8 rib

I see no reason not to go 10 rib, doesn't hurt anything and if you're doing longer pulls it's just nice insurance. I go dual BOV on cars over 1k rwhp, helps prevent any shocking to the belt from not enough air getting out when you let off, would it be fine w/ a single possibly, but I absolutely hate having issues when at an event so I will over do it on stuff like that.

8rib is good for 1500, you will need the 10 rib if you want the hest out of the 2200 or the ysi

With the 8rib on a ysi and a 2.85 uper and 8.25 lower i had a belt slip the pulley combo was supposed to make more than 20 psi, but it never did any better than 18 just one time i saw the 20 for less than a second, wen i add the 10 rib with a 2.7 and 8.35, the car is always making 20 to 22 psi.

What kind of power are are you making with 20-22 psi? Ysi right? Were you a 1500 first?

I agree with Joe on this one, Once you go to a 2200R we always go ten rib here. The 2200HD will be fine with an eight rib though.

i went with the innovators west/10 rib lower combo when installing my 416 (with the 1500 kit) i will be upgrading to the 2200 soon. Will completing the 10 rib setup be as simple as ordering a 10 rib upper and belt or will other modifications to the kit be necessary?

Now you will see 20+ psi, but make sure your bov isn't opening, I would also consider changing the bov spring to a stiffer one

How its not should open, the spring isnt stiff enough to keep the cylinder closed at boost more than 19 or 20 psi. Isnt the ysi should make more than 22 psi with this pulley combo? 2.7 and 8.35 you are looking to almost 70k rpm from the ysi, its supposed to make more than 20 and keep the graph going up all the way to redline, but my car is loosing power past 6300 rpm and as soon as its hits the 20 or 21 psi its doesn't continue to increasing, that why i said he should consider changing the bov spring

Like Doug said, my 2200R setup came with the 10-rib setup. Not sure if it made any difference, but overall it was a minuscule expense compared to everything else that goes into the build.
