Default Need some Advice. Supercharging A&A and Thermostat Options

So I've searched the forum and can't seem to get an answer. I have my A&A supercharger on order and it's being shipped soon.
Btw, my car is stock besides intake and 93 Octane DiabloTune.
My questions is, once I install the supercharger, should I also at the same time put a lower t-stat. Ive never have overheating issues, but would the SC cause issues to develop after install.. Since I'm getting it dyno tuned, if I need a t stat, I'd rather have the shop tune it once with the new fan calibrations too.

Yes 100% do it I got the housing & t stat from LMR. You will be sorry if you don't do that. Robert

Do you need to do it? Nope. Will it help heat? Maybe a little..

Since I'm taking all that stuff apart and working on it, it's just makes more sense. Is it true that if i reduced the motor temps, would that cause any emissions issues for passing?

It could take the car longer to warm up. If you live in a state that tests for emissions, I wouldn't go lower than a 180* personally..

I live in colorado. But I'm not due on emissions until 2020. I do drive the car all year long at 3k miles/yr. Never under on 50F. So do I go with the 180? Isn't there one at 190 and one at 160?

On 100 plus deg day with the 160 plus a Dewitts rad in the car, plus also what ever FAN set up that cost almost 900.00 in traffic with the air on my car still gets 210 in heavy heavy traffic. Other wise it stays at 190 to 195... Robert

They make 160, 170, and 180. All of them are garbage unless you go with the LMR which is only available in 160. The reason the others are garbage is because the gasket is junk. I've broken three, from three different mfg's.

How much did u pay for the LMR? I probably won't be getting aftermarlet fans. I'll just have them re tune the factory fan speeds and setting.

Hey Ant what happens when it goes bad? I have a 170 and it has worked fine for a year. Just wondering what to look for.

Well, if your lucky you'll see the temp act really weird, It may run cooler than expected as without the gasket the sorta runs like it would without a tstat. Best way to check it is pull the housing and look and sed if the gasket is still there lol
