Cathedral Vette, features 6.5" runner with cnc vstacks, expect huge mid range power while holding hp to 7000rpm. Clears c5/c6 oem hood. C5 may require cowl notch for fuel rails

$1750 shipped with wrinkle black powder coat
$1500 shipped bare aluminum

Bell rates their cores weird. They rate their cores based on its cooling effectiveness on ambient water over a continuous use for industrial application such as huge generators and government buses etc. They are the premier core supplier for oem companies.

Being that said

The Garrett 1000 air water core is 4.75x4.75x11.5
this is the core that the coyote company mmr uses and has cars making 1500whp through it for a drag car. That said it does begin to heat soak at the quarter iats on ice go from -20 below ambient to +20 over ambient at the end of the quarter. (Not my data, this is what several of their customers who use them first hand have told me)

the core i run in the street intercooled vette is
6.1x3x15 significantly larger csa for maximum cfm support and more overall water capacity as well. I do not have direct data on this intake yet as I'm still waiting for numbers back. Being bigger as it is though i suspect the same 1500whp will have zero heat soak at the end of the quarter.

My race intercooled intake i do have data on however no screen logs to display (I'll message my people and try to get them really quick)

I know my car Roho is up 100whp over the Holley Hi Ram and prior air air setup it had. They should be getting me actual charts soon.

For race intercooled intakes (no gaurantees on hood) i build for the needs of the car. For a drag and street car i run a dual pass design water tubes flowing the length of the core. For a land speed car such as mile car i run single pass design water flowing the width of the core. In a car that will be seeing iats pushing nearly 400F for 20-30 seconds you have to flood the core with fresh cold water all the time as water moving slowly through it will quickly heat soak. Also a width style core holds nearly 2x the water. For land speed cars i aim for 1 gallon total water capacity in the intake manifold alone to absorb all the heat and keep it moving out.

It takes longer to chill the intercooler like this so i don't do it on street cars but it can handle a ton of heat for a long time

LS7 Hi Ram roughly 550ci plenum volume to support hp in upper rpm, runners are 6.5" for maximum powerband

Plenum is roughly 10 3/4" from valley flange

3/16" sheet plenum top and bottom, runners are 1/8" sheet, good luck busting this bad boy

ohh an update on the mile car
2 out of 3 records set.
The percision 74mm billet turbos are fully maxed out here at 45lbs of boost. Time to go bigger turbos, somewhere around 2000-2200whp at ground through a th400 on a 5.0l zipping to 9100rpm

Finally got a overlay dyno chart out of my customer Roho Snyper (his facebook name)

Blue line is the holley hi ram on his procharger f1x blower and race air to air intercooler
They approached me to build them a custom air water because they were seeing 200F at the end of the quarter mile.

With my intake they stay at ambient with water only (1.5 gallon total water system), with killer chiller on 15 below ambient.

Tune is nitrous tune but running boost only so rich and no timing in it.

Just seeing if it's possible, answer, yes!

Managed to squeeze down a ltx race intercooled (usually about 14" tall) to a tiny 8.5" tall which will fit under a oem gen 6 ss hood and support over 1500whp AND have a full 5.5" runner length!
Pie cut runners to make it happen but where there is a will, there is a way

From the above design it looks like you could make the core even wider if wanted!

So Roho can run a normal hood now?
