Default A&A Blower install - Meth - APR Carbon

Just wanted to post up and say thanks to the guys at A&A. Josh and Andy were cool to work with and put up with my endless questions. Dropped the car off a couple weeks back and they were to work on it when they finished a couple other projects. Well, last night I headed down to LA which is about 4.5 hours south of me, got there early and watched them finish up the tuning. I kept the 4.0 pulley as I wanted to keep it CARB legal. The car put down 610/548 with meth and only a Corsa valve back exhaust. Love the power it's putting down and again, thanks goes out to those guys. I wouldn't hesitate to take my car back for any other work it may need. There were also a few forum members that answered some questions for me, so thanks guys...you know who you are, I appreciate it. Here's a few pics..

Nice numbers, Pete, and the bay looks great. I'm getting ready to do the same. My ProMeth rear-mount kit is due here on Monday so I'll post pics of that when it arrives.

What bov did you use? I have the 50mm on my a&a Ti setup and it doesn't have a breather on it?

the A&A Big Bubba BOV does use a breather. You likely have the newer style BOV that is VTA.

Hmmm, I chose the "loud"option. It looks like yours is enclosed? Maybe that's the difference?

Not sure how loud yours is compared to mine, but I wouldn't want it any louder than it is right now.

The loud option is with the Turbosmart Raceport 50mm which is Vent To Atmosphere style no filter can be used on it.

The quiet option is with the Turbosmart 38mm with filter on straight outlet to help "muffle" the sound.

do you guys have a 50/50 BOV style option? Which is recirculating under light loads( normal driving) and exterior vented on full release. Like GFB BOV???

I did run a recirculating setup on my YSi C7 Z06. It sounded HORRIBLE.
The air being released into the intake tube is still audible through the air filter in the fender. It was really nasty sounding.
I had a Trailblazer SS a few years back with a built LS7 and a YSi. Same thing happened and I had to take it off.
For those wanting something quiet, I run a hose off the BOV to an aluminum splitter and run two filters. The volume and velocity of the air passing through each filter is cut in half and is much quieter.

what get me the most, is the normal driving vacuum sounds from the wasted boost on partial throttle!! Other than that, its fine!
