Default Stock crank LT1/LT4

Did anyone finds the power limit for the lt1/lt4 crank shaft on a procharger setup?

The stock crank should be good at what you are going to be putting to it. Unless it has a weak point in it someway. If you have your motor apart for it tested to see if it has any small hair line cracks r what ever. These cranks 999 out of 1,k are god per say.
Did you say you doing a 416 anyway. good pistons & rods stock crank if over 1,k rwhp do a cradle to the main caps so it don't walk on you. Robert

I backed from the 416 i will stick with stock cubic, im not sure what u mean with cardle, if you mean line bore the block with the main caps its already have been done, not into machining work alot.

Is the stock crank as good as an aftermarket 4340 crank?

What are your goals? If you’re looking for 1000 rw the stock crank is fine. If you’re looking to set records and have crazy 1200-1300-1500 power then I’d make a more aftermarket choice.

Default Lt1 crank lt4 crank

Just called LME today, and asked about the limit of the stock crank, they said they have couple doing from 1100 to 1400, I found on their shortblock site saying the lt1 block with compstar rods are good for 1100 whp, if you put the ultra h beam rods with stock crank and Wiseco Pistons you will be as good as you want to be (1400whp)

What do you guys think?

You sure will not make 1200 plus on stock ci motor. You will be safe unless the stock crank has something wrong with it.

I can send you a pm with list of my setup but that doesn’t mean it will make that power, it will make it if i put the nitrous and fuel, on the blower alone im sure it will make low 1k or mid with fuel or ethanol for sure

Is it possible to make 1200 with a fully forged 376, yes. It just has to be built the right way. By the right way I mean not just the motor itself but all the accessories it requires such as blower, meth, nitrous, etc
