How many 8 Second 1/4 miles C7's are there?

Ive never seen an air-water-air.
Are you saying you split the Procharger air to water intercooler?
We made north of 1,300rwhp with our shop car and never split a weld. Made 80+ passes at the track and 4 half mile runs. Never had an issue out of it.
We never broke our converter either.

Guys over at pro charger are great, not sure if ours was an updated unit or not. Have you seen the sd raceshop 540ci f-1x-12? It made me drool a little bit.

I know that so far all of the C7 platform Vettes that have gone 8's are over 1000rwhp, but does it really take that much HP to run 8s? I'm gonna do my best to be the 1st guy in the 8s with under 1000rwhp and on 18" DRs.

It's all about efficiency. Sure it can be done but will take some time and practice. You'll want to be crafty with weight removal and spend time to figure out how to cut a 1.2x 60'.

Curious what has broken (dif, axles, trans) and what were the aftermarket replacements to hopefully withstand drag racing? My friends 750 HP Z broke his diff at the track with 1.30 60' times. Are A8s living at the track?

I'd like to also be able to accomplish this. I've got 830 rwhp right now and will be putting a bellmouth on the blower for our track rental day on 12/10/17. Bellmouth should be worth about 50 to the wheels. Maaaaaaybe I can get close to low 9's high 8's with an awesome launch, also on 18" DR's.

The point of saying stock block is that the engine has not been strengthened to survive higher HP. Pretty amazing that a stock block motor can hold over 1000 rwhp. I remember the old days when 500 rwhp could split a stock Ford 5.0 Windsor motor completely in half.
BTW Congrats all you guys. Amazing times.

Z06 on Nitrous would be two power adders unless you removed the stock blower.
Stock block means the physical block, crank, rods and pistons are factory. Cam, lifters, pushrods and heads are not considered part of the stock block. A car that has an engine that is internally untouched would be considered a "bolt-on" car. AKA 100% stock motor with only external mods.

I have a converged list that I have started on Facebook in a group called C7 Records and Achievements... I know it is not close to a complete listing but we are trying to get all the cars on it that we can...
I know of a few in the 8's and the one we built just went 9.08@163 without a converter in it... we expect it will be deep in the 8's the next time out now the we have added a converter.
If anyone wants to see this list on facebook that I did, it is visible here

Stock diff, stock gears, it does have Driveshaft Shop axles... the stock ones broke on the second pass...
