Default How many 8 Second 1/4 miles C7's are there?

It would be nice to have an updated fast list to see how fast some of the c7's are going now (not 1+ years ago). How many are in the 8.99 or lower? I am trying for a 8.99 on boost only here in a couple weeks. I went 9.1 last weekend with a slipping belt that was shredding apart. I'm hoping to be very close with my new belt. I met a guy in a blue base model at LSFest that was running 8.8's. I know of a white base that's around the same time as well and a Grey z06 (but haven't seen any updates recently). Any one know of other 8 second c7's besides those 3?

Are you on a 10-rib or 8-rib set up?

And I know LMR and AMP both have 8-second cars. And I know of a blue one that popped up on my facebook like 2 weeks ago.

I'm on a 10rib now. 8.3 lower/ 2.75 upper. Belt seems to shred and come apart after a few months of driving. Just put a new belt on today. Hopefully I will get some updated times this weekend.

There are two as far as I know. AMP (Advanced Modern Performance) went 8.9 something. Then LMR went 8.8. LMR has the fastest C7.

Dave why are you going thur belts for. I went thur 3 belts until I got the set up in the c5 laser lined up on the pulleys. Then never a problem again plus I had my 8 rib so dam tight on top of that.

I know you may say yes it is but if a big rwhp car is just off a hair & running it really hard at the track it will start eating the belt up or if bad off will pull it off the pulley. Robert

There are at least 3 that have been 8's. I own the car that was at ls fest and every pass made on a 15 inch tire was in the 8's. On the 18's the best pass it's made is a 9.07.

Congrats on a great running C7 man!

There are probably 4 to date that I can think of that have ran quicker than 8.99. We have built 2, a base white C7(Current record holder) and an orange C7 we built for a grudge racer that actually runs quicker but customer does not want any info posted online/forums/social media.

Its crazy to think we ran 9.3s at over 155mph a few months after the C7 was available to the public. Now almost 4 years later only a handful of cars have ran 8s.

From 2014

8 sec pass-

That is awesome! We need more of these cars pushing the limits. The 8sec car we built is only running an F1R head unit. I wish she had an F1X.

I've seen a couple CTS'V guys with the RPM belt, and they've been shredding very quickly. Even worse and much more quickly than the HD green belt. Have you had any experience with the RPM? I'm just going by what I've seen from 2 guys I know.

It does almost look like my one tensioner is slightly off. You can see the belt wears more to one side and close to the edge. I took it off and flipped the metal race to the other side of the pulley, but then it hit the supercharger bracket. I assume everything is lined up how it should be, but does seem slightly off.

Before the new belt my max was 18.5. With the new belt and bellmouth I saw 21. My 9.16 pass was fluctuating between 12-17psi with the slipping belt. Now that it's seeing 21psi, my intercooler is pretty insufficient and seeing IAT's over 170* at the 1/4

Best tool I have and use for this is the Dayco lazer alignment tool... works wonders as easy to use... has a sight line the lazer shoots down for alignment.. also had a tension setup to test belt tension (there is a entire science too it that most don’t understand)

I am with you on this. Plus also Dave if it looks a little off to your eye it has to be off a ton for it to be tuning those RPM & doing that to a good belt. After I got a laser & got mine fixed it never did do a belt again. I was at 24 & 25 lbs of boost with a F1X on the car. Robert
