Thank god for the A8 TRANSMISSION! We love it. Based on the Strong and Reliable A6

we now have the A8 TRANSMISSION. SO FAR, SO GOOD we find. YES, there are problems

however we've found that 99% of the problems are related to the software in the trans.

For those of you that have owned an A8 or had problems with one, you know about frequent

trips to the dealership for software updates. Through our own local testing we have found

the versions of software (of which there are many) that work fantastic, even in SuperCharged

Vettes and Trucks. Our AutoCal tuning package gives you the ability to divorce yourself from

the dealership and install ANY VERSION of A8 software you like. Our AutoCal Remote Tuning

Tool permits us to UPGRADE or DOWNGRADE your Transmission software REMOTELY. It is very

unlikely that any of the other remote tuning products out there will be able to offer this support.

Some of the original software installed in the A8 Transmissions was very clunky and abrupt.

Shifting to DRIVE from park, reverse, or neutral was very hard. Also the quality of the shifts

in some gears was terrible. Using our EFI LIVE software and AutoCal devices, we can update

your trans to the latest programming OR even selectively change CODE and DATA segments as

necessary for best results. The E92 engine controller and the T87 A8 Transmission controllers

have had multiple updates as is common with the introduction of new Models and Hardware.

The software it leaves the factory with usually needs to be updated for best performance.

As an example... The 2005 C6 Cars actually had at least 6 or 8 updates before they were

considered "working properly". As hard as it might be to believe, 95% of the 2005 Corvettes

we tune here are running OLD, OUTDATED software. CORVETTES of WESTCHESTER virtually

ALWAYS updates ALL VEHICLES COMPUTERS to the latest available software - EVERY TIME.

MOST tuners, and in fact.... MOST remote tuning devices just read out the EXISTING, OLD

software and add their tune to it.... Then, load it back in. This ensures you're STUCK with

and bugs in the earlier software. That does not happen here. Regardless of what version

of software you have or send us, it will be updated to the latest, Trouble Free version there is.

The new T87 Trans Controller is no longer INSIDE THE TRANS - IN THE FLUID. Thank GOD!

It's been moved to under the rear bumper on the passenger side just under the trunk floor

on the outside at about the 5 o'clock position of the vehicle. It's much cooler there and easier

to change by 1,000 times. I'm thinking ELECTRONICS don't like HEAT.... RIGHT??

8 speed Corvetts appear to have 2 different T87 Trans Controllers in them. The software and setup

programming can be different between the 2 versions. I've seen as many as 8 Transmission tune

updates and there are likely more to come. FWIW, the current software updates seem to

work very well with no complaints, however we've had to modify our Trans Tunes to accommodate

the different variations. If you have already been tuned by US, it never hurts to check back from

time to time to be sure you've got the latest Trans Tune we offer.

We all know about the massive gains in performance and driveability from a good old Chuck CoW

A6 TUNE.... The new 8 SPEED CARS and TRUCKS benefit even more and we actually have even

better control of the trans than we had with the A6.
