Default Magnuson 2650 Supercharger

Does anyone have any information on this? I was about to purchase a 2300, but now I'm curious about this unit.

Mainly wanting to know if it fits under OEM hood, any additional fuel mods, etc..

I'd wait. Their LT1/LT4 kits will be the first gm kits they produce and mostly likely be released mid-late this year. It probably will require a new hood.

2650?
I would say next year at best they are lousy at releases. The thing will need a new hood. Then to up the hp past the 800 you still need many other mods. The current 2300 makes 800 easy and fits under the hood and you can buy now.

A little birdie whispered in my ear...something about ZR1 2650 blowers with port inj. Bungs and fuel rails being JUST on the horizon. Couple that with a CR fueler upgrade and a boost a pump of low side upgrade and you can make all the part-breaking/tire shredding torque your heart desires.

That will be AWESOME! The only downside is having to do something with the hood.

I think the 2.9 whipple would be the way to go if they ever come out with it. It clears the hood....but you have to cut the cowl.

As you know, I’m not opposed to having a hole in the hood, and I’ve talked to others that feel the same way. I’ve seen the ZR1 blower with the cover off, it’s not what I would call ugly. It’ll look just fine, and there are already a couple hoods that would clear it.

A lil birdie also told me, the Z06 kit is in the near future AND it will be worth the wait! But says nothing about fitting under the stock hood though!

I hope the little birdies don't hold their breath. I think it will be spring before we see the 2650. Then to go past the stock Z06 fueling limits.
Will require more mods! You can bigger with 2300 or the 2650. OR even bigger with the 2650. The 2.9 whipple is 20 pounds more weight than the 2300 on the engine.
JMHO!

Did you put a plastic see through window in your hood like the older ZR1's, or just an open hole?
I am pondering the 2900 whipple, which fits under the stock hood but requires a cowl trimming. If I ever decided to remove the 2900 whipple, I could easily buy a new top cowl cover and snap it back on, and it would look fine (even though the lower cowl cover would still have a notch, which would be hard to see).
Other than the hood mod/cowl mod, what do you think would be the advantages/disadvantages between the eaton 2650 vs. the whipple 2900? I would think the 2900 would generate lower IAT's at the same volume?!? Which one has a more efficient cooling core?
Lastly, I just absolutely love the look of the whipple, and the idea of the loud whipple whine.
Thanks, Andy
