Can fuel fill hose be removed from top of drivers tank without dropping tank?
With the drivers side rear quarter panel off, can the fuel fill hose be removed from the top of the drivers side tank and re-attached easily, without dropping the drivers side tank at all?

I am assuming you mean the transfer line from tank to tank?
I had this exact conversation with one of LMR's techs when I was at their shop one day. It is very tricky but it's possible on a M7 car. You actually get to it from above the transmission, and you have to be clever getting it back connected. It is WAY easier if the transmission is out of the car.

no, i mean the literal gas cap fill hose...that attaches to the top of the drivers side tank... can it be removed at the point where it mounts to the drivers side tank?
I may need to T into this fill hose with a smaller line.

my gut says it is not possible and that the tank will have to be lowered

Is it possible to remove the fender and open the area up to access? Don't folks that convert to widebody go this route?

There a pic of the rear fender off and fill hose still connected in this thread. Looks to be very difficult without removal of it.

Yes you can ONLY if you pull the drivers fender off the car. The gas filler black hose But don't know if I would want to drill into it with a drill but you unhook that part of this part. THEY are diff from the z51 & z06 & I didn't have to do nothing to undo the full gas line.
I did the z51 to z06 panel chg out on my car just got a body shop to paint the stuff all the parts was really easy other than the one's inside the door panels cutting them out & that. Robert

thank you for the heads up everyone. I too confirmed today that the hose can be removed with the drivers rear fender removed.. I lucked out and my local chervrolet store had one they were working on with the fender off that I was able to take a look at. There is a simple hose clamp that tightens with a flat head screwdriver or a socket, and then it is lose from the top of the tank.
