I have an air compressor but it isn't very large. Not sure how big is required. In sure its not a capacity issue but a psi issue?

Most impacts want 90 psi but that will drop off fast if it won’t supply the tools rated capacity like 2 to 5 CFM. Good quality tools need less CFM for given torque.

Yeah, everything I own is pretty high quality. I just never got into the air tools!

That being said, I get my procharger today! Now I need to break the bolt without an impact...

I might have this procharger attached as soon as tonight/tomorrow.

Is it ok to start the engine before the colder spark plugs are in? Taking it easy, no dyno pulls or anything.

So the car is now running (other threads have some videos ect)

Seems to be running ok with OEM plugs. (Even spirited driving)

I am a bit lost on why I need to change the plugs? I have the 6510s gapped at .35 but I am getting lazy after spending 25 hours on the car already.

Will plugs solve the occasional lurch I am getting on decel? I assume thats just a tune hiccup...

Since the SC creates higher temps and pressures in the combustion chamber the colder plugs are intended to reduce the possibility of pre-detonation to improve margin of safety and longevity. Should run fine on OEM plugs for awhile... But maybe don't take it to the track or really rag on it until you change 'em.

Procharger just told me to change the plus and that should fix the lurches. Maybe that is detonation? Hard to tell.

Anyway ngk 6510s gapped at .32 is what they told me.

Unless you are getting sufficient detonation that the ECM is pulling timing I doubt if the plugs are an issue. And why just at those RPMs and gears?? But I stand ready to be corrected. Would help if you could hook up a logger and take it for a drive to see what's happening. Good luck and let us know.

How would I even know that timing was being pulled? Either way new plugs are going in within a day or two

You need an OBD 2 data logger like HP Tuners or somesuch. Go for a drive and then review the files later to see what's going on. Will also do tuning but its not a bad tool to have even if just for code reading and occasional data logging to diagnose problems. Of course, if you go to a tuner for a custom tune they will have one of these.

Did you load the Procharger canned tune in the car, or are you driving it with the stock tune? If stock, I would take it easy on the spirited driving, it could go lean on you pretty easily under hard acceleration.

It is tuned so no issues there

procharger instructed me to put in my ngk at .32 gap and that would solve most of the lurching situations. (Which are pretty rare already. Maybe one every 10 WOT pulls)

For future reference, using an impact on your crank bolt is not good for your crank bearings at all.

Did changing the plugs solve the lurching issue you had? About to slap a P1X on mine in a few days if it warms up some more.

Nope, the lurching was caused by a bad tune sent by Procharger. 100% fixed after custom tune.

Did Procharger refund you some money or anything? They have a 1 year warranty with the complete kit

No, but I never asked either.

They had to provide 6 different tunes before they solved the lurches. That being said the tuner told me it was still pretty poor quality. I gained nearly 70 hp and tq just with the custom tune. Went from 530 to 593
