What tires are you guys running
I'm looking into a sticky tire options for my supercharged Stingray. I'd like to run a drag radial out back on the stock rim 285 30 20 and keep the factory run flats up front. I'm not looking to change rims. So what are you guys running up front and out back, any issues??

This is what you need, looks like they are finally being made. I'd call them before you order to make sure they are actually finally available. As far as the run flats up front. It should be fine BUT be really careful when going around twisties at high speed. DEF do not take this type of setup to a road track or SCCA type event. Daily driving should be just fine and also drag strip type stuff.

I'm just under 600whp, I've had MT DRs on my old Trans Am and they had great off the line traction. Yes, i want to stay on the factory rims and also keep the run flats up front. I'm now starting to lean towards R888Rs, I think they maybe more stable at high speed roll races and work better with the run flats up front then the MT DRs. I also hear the R888Rs also have very good off the line traction, i understand not as good as the MTs. Let me know what you guys think.

I have to be honest with you, I have a really cheap tire in stock sizes on the rear of my Z51 600+ hp and in warmer weather it really does amazing. In cold weather it will not get full traction until 3rd gear. These cars are built really well compared to the older generations. Im sure you would have plenty of traction with either of the above mentioned tires. If your car is an auto it will need even less aggressive tire IMO. My auto hooked so good at all times!

Don't use run flats with a drag radial. They don't play well together and it will be squirrely as hell. As soon as I threw some Nittos up front it was straight as an arrow....

I know you don’t want to hear this, but you have four options here:
1: change front tires to non runflats and get a 20” radial for the back, this will not perform super well because of the wheel size so I highly recommend going to different wheels.
2. (Recommended) - Change the wheels out for smaller sizes in the rear (you can do a set of 19” replicas for cheap), still change the rear tires for radials (Nitto NT05R’s held 700HP fantastic for me. Size would be 305/35/19. Still replace front run flats with regular non run flats.
3. Put radials on the back, keep stock tires up front, possibly kill yourself (or someone else) due to the high speed instability.
4. Don’t change anything and don’t try to go fast at all.

I went with Toyo R888Rs out back on the stock size 20". I didn't go with drag radials because of what everyone said about poor stability at high speeds with the run flats. I had some high speed runs this morning and you guys are 100% correct, the *** of the car started swaying side to side over 120mph. I was hoping to avoid this going with the R888Rs instead of DRs. So ill be taking the run flats off the fronts asap.
Any recommendations for non run flat tires up front for a stock 19" rim that will work with my R888Rs out back?
I don't think I need the R888Rs on all 4 corners. Looking for a cheaper option if possible.

Being i just got the Toyo R888Rs in the back im thinking im gonna go with the Toyo T1 up front unless anyone thinks a different tread pattern front to back will be an issue?

The run flat's will make the azz end really get squirrely with the stocker on the front. I do mean pretty bad at speeds over 100 & worse as you go, Then on top of that if the road on the street if it has dips are waves in it your *** end will be all over the place. Robert

Bridgestone Potenza RE71R?
The Michelin PSS are great for Z51 default tires, but I am planning to put a Magnuson Heartbeat SC on and looking for new tires to match that setup. I have two sets of wheels so I may have less agreesive tires on one set.
For the aggressive set of wheels I was thinking Bridgestone Potenza RE71R. My use would be aggressive dry street use for straight line and twists. I am expecting rwhp of 520ish after SC upgrade and no other mods. This particular tire is on par with Michelin Cup2 but better in the sense that it is “ready” quicker than the slow heating Cup2. To me that and the lower price make it better for aggressive dry street use.
Also considering Toyo R888R but the wear rating is lesser than the Potenza. I may run T1 Sports on the front to lower noise since my use is aggressive street only.
Thoughts?

Since I don't get to drive the vette as much as I want, I was thinking of getting A/S 3+ to extend my driving season as long as possible. I would get non RF in Z51 sizes. Per Ant's suggestion I'm looking at the 19x10 replicas with the NT05R or a MT ET S/S 305/35r19. When the weather is warm enough I'd swap the rears with the 19s and run the front A/S tires. This seems like the most cost effective option and I don't think there would be any issue running an all season with a drag radial, would there?
