Running a little rich 11.3 AFR, possible to lean out a little with E85?
Hello guys, I am in a tough spot and having a hard time finding a good tuner in my new area. I just installed a wide band and with my setup I am sitting right around 11.2-11.4 at the top of 3rd gear. I have AA supercharger, alky control injection, axle back 3" exhaust, removed secondary cats but have stock headers. The car was tuned for sea level so I am now at about 2500 ft which makes the car run a little rich. Occationally I see it dip down to 10.9 but mostly its been in the low 11's.
I understand this likely isn't the best way to adjust it but since I have limited resources I can either leave it as is or possibly put in a gallon or two of E85 with a full tank of 91 octane, in hopes to have it bring the AFR up to the 11.8-12.2 range. Would this possibly be a good idea or is this a foolish idea? The car runs awesome as is but I am wondering if it will run even better with higher AFR. What are your thoughts? Is there any other way to lean the car out a little without adjusting the tune? What about putting a gallon of 110 unleaded?
I am also kind of hesitant to adjust the tune because it was done by a highly skilled group of people (AA superchargers) so between that and me not finding a good tuner locally I am kinda scratching my head. What would you do?

OP where do you live? if tuned correctly the maf along w/ an ls9 map sensor will adjust fueling perfectly no matter where you are.

I am confused at this point. Can someone advise me if I should just pay the $500 for HP tuners, then whatever I have to pay someone to remote tune it? OR, figure out this LS9 setup? How much would it cost me to get the LS9 fully setup in my car so I don't have to retune it ever again? More info please lol.

Leaning it out will increase exhaust temp and potentially fail your primary catalysts. It's rich for a reason. As long as the calibrator has the appropriate amount of spark for that richness, you're probably not actually losing too much power vs a leaner mix where he would also have to pull a couple degrees of timing out as well.
