Anyway, the shop called and said the belt was to short so I had to purchase a longer belt. Maybe the belt that was put on was the Z06 belt that is to short and it ran until it had enough got hot and shredded? Just a thought that's all. Good luck with recovery.
No if the belt fits on it is not too short. The belt on the 2300 is so tight it fits with the tension bottomed out and barely slides on tight is good.
I would also get the Mighty Mouse Catch can with under blower valve to stop the oil. You can see it all over under your bonnet this oil and gunk kills your intercoolers over time.

did you have to replace or were you able to have your blower fixed?

I had to get a new one, but bored out and custom paint job. Pretty happy now. Back on the road!

glad to hear things worked out... did you have metal get into your engine? I assume you drained your engine oil and inspected the chambers with one of those snake cameras?

What was the cause, spinning the blower too fast, or was it a used blower?

Nothing got down below, and changed oil several times with no debris. It could of been heat issue, was a used one nobody seems to know for sure. Something could of gotten into the intake, just not sure. I am pretty cautious now and have a diablo hooked up to watch AIT and so on. Also, added the catch can.
