Amazing work! Is there a build thread or breakdown of the build?

Sick run. Just imagine how much faster they could go if they added two more bottles of nitrous. Hahaha

Yessir. We converted it to a powerglide.

Absolutely we drive it. It actually pulled the front wheels beyond the 60 foot mark. The 60 foot time was the back wheels!!

Thanks, We really wanted to be the first. We just didn't expect to go this deep in the 7s. Especially with so few passes each time out.

Congrats on being first. Wasnt really surprised by the fact you went deep in the 7's. There are only two shops in my opinion that are currently capable of that and you were certainly one of them as you have proved consistently. Most people dont really realize how difficult this is to do. Recognition of the fact that the factory A8 tranny and stock LT4 block is somewhat limiting at the upper power levels along with the IRS is IMO a key to getting these cars to go mid 7's or faster. I still think a factory A8 is capable of a high 7's but the run has to be perfect and the tranny tuning has to be spot on to avoid blowing through the convertor. Bottom line tho is MID 7's is a hell of alot faster than the MID 8's !!!

I had no doubt in my mind that LMR would be the first to do it..

Gear up Steven.. i’m almost done with my build and will be driving out there for you to tune mine in December so we can set the C7 M7 record next..

Bring it. We're going to get the C7 M7 half mile record with Tim's car too.

Yeah the A8 is a whole different animal. Why we just just jumped straight to the powerglide to cut the guessing game out of it.

We may do a video breaking the build down and showing how it drives on the street.

No disrespect cause you know I love you guys... you built my C7..., but wtf would you want a power glide in a modern “street” car?!?!?!? Please don’t tell me it drives like a normal car. If you’re building an all out racecar maybe, but a car that’s supposed to be a street car I’d never in a million years put a transmission from a 65 Impala in a modern car. Street manners, it has none, guaranteed. (Rant over) Now, go break more records. Congrats on that epic pass!
