Default C7 Corvette Reliability Concerns

I'm looking into possibly getting a preowned 2014 Corvette Z51 3LT with ~10k miles on it. I think it's about to run out of warranty if it hasn't already.

I've been doing some research and there are a lot of complaints regarding the electrical system as well as the motor blowing at a couple thousand miles.

As you can imagine, I don't want to buy this car and then end up having to replace the engine or something because my warranty is out.

This is also a CDJR dealership so I think an extended warranty is even an option.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of C7s and any issues that might plague them? Can someone push me off the fence in one way or another?

The sky is falling, the sky is falling!

Wait, what? It's not falling?

Oh, nevermind!

Oh, and welcome to the site!
