For your numbers instead of running E85 which will need a injector and fuel system upgrade I would slap a A&A or ECS kit on, run meth injection, and headers and you should be at your targeted goal... If your looking for a great deal on a kit we are running some specials on some at this time and offer 0% financing for up to 1 year.

I also am considering adding a S/C for my 17 Z51 A8. Looking at either a Magnuson 2300 or the Edlebrock e-force Level 1. Aren't the actual scrolls the same for both? Don't both use an Eaton made unit and differ only by package design and tuning? Not wanting to drop in pistons within the next few years, I'll be happy with 500 RWHP. Looking for comments on adding a DeWitts radiator. All the comments I read on here support making the change, and can be done easily when the nose is off during the install of the S/C.

We just ran this yesterday. It has drop in pistons, Stage 2 cam, V2 Ti Trim head unit and a dual nozzle Alky Control kit.
NO headers, NO fuel system upgrades. It's relying heavily on the meth, but it's making the power.
Would I take this to to road course? No, not without fuel system upgrades. It's a fun street car though.
BTW: The car is from Arizona so, no, I can't build you one like this for street use in California. I know I'm going to get calls. :-)
My own '17 Grand Sport, with the exact same mods made 740 ish.

I'd say 550 - 600 at the wheel is the safe number for a non-built LT1, right? My main goal is to keep it cool on 20 minute sessions. Itd be just for HPDE days and fun track days. I'd want it to run as cool as possible. Maggie hearbeat is where I'm leaning. I'm wondering if I'd need to swap the radiator to keep things cool. Does the hearbeat come with the correct thermostat these days? I heard they used to run hotter and they left the fans on all of the time, which i dont want.

With a z51 and any supercharger you'll overheat. Your best bet is a centrifugal to keep the heat off the engine. Need to get the intercooler to block the radiator the least amount possible + external oil cooler + better radiator.

Thanks Bruno. I have a grand sport but I imagine all you have said is still valid. The thermostat comment was more about the oem fan tune running constantly with the maggie

The Lt1 can handle up to 650whp, thats about the max the Lt1 should be at if your pushing it, but anything above that its a little risky but many have gone past the dark side lol over 650whp my Friend Teddyca thats on CF here, is doing over 670whp with YSI, and meth A&A black out kit and running strong as he tells me and its insane an animal lol I atcualy got his A&A kit with the V3 si head couple months ago and everything i have is practically new and its for a 2014 Corvette lt1 the only used part is the blower and it has 5k miles on Teddy got the New YSI one. Also the blow off valve and some tubing but everything there is new and boxed and its ready for meth my kit will give you reliable 600hp thats still pretty damn powerful for street car. THe max range I would say for the street is probably 650whp to 750whp anything above that is insane and you wont grip at all. actually just 560whp your breaking loose already and just down shifting at 80mph with over 650whp be prepared it will bite you and scare the Crap out of you and 800whp to 1000whp is definitly for the track. l you still can drive that power on the street. Expect tires to break loose and lots of feathering the trottle. Ive seen 740whp on a stock LT1 run and man thats pushhing the limits for sure its ticking time bomb your playing russian roulette with your car on stcok internalls. But if your looking for a A&A complete kit supercharger Vortech V3 si perfect for your application specaily being stock internals youll be doing 600whp Im only asking $3500 for my kit reason Im seling my 2014 corvette getting posibly new ZR1 or Z06

Burning Brakes
My biggest debate right now on mine is to meth or not to meth? I have the ECS kit ready to install. Will also be running longtubes with off-road x pipe. I want to be at 600whp. I honestly don't want to run meth but it might be the only way to reach my HP goals.

I would do no meth to be honest, I know lots say its fine but I just want to put gas in my car and be done with it. If a header + supercharger kit is not enough power level for you then look at a C7Z or C6ZR-1 for big power like 1000whp. I had a 800whp Supra and I have been chasing that power for years or more.. I just like the C7 looks and honestly depreciation is bad on a Z06's and I think the values of C7Z's will tank in the next couple years..

Yeah, I see guys throwing meth in their windshield wiper tanks, and its just not for me. I dont want to have to worry about that, plus that stuff burns invisible. Sloshing around in your windshield wiper container or a cell inside the back of the car is just not a risk I'm willing to take unless I'm being paid to win races.
